The spa is great - the thermal spa is clean and hot! The pool is good too. The staff were great and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are horrible and dated. They have flat screen tv and fan only, tho this wasn't a problem in February. Quite location. Our room Had a shower that is a step into bath... More

This hotel was the highlight of my trip to Costa Rica 24 years ago. It is still relatively isolated, beautifully landscaped, the thermal pools are clean (the hot one is beautifully hot but there are two others to choose from), and the staff is very accommodating. Yes, the rooms show the age of the hotel, but they are clean and... More

After a 2 ½ hr. trip by bus and taxi we arrived at this hotel. The entrance is beautifully landscaped with palms, flowers and various water features. The people working at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating; however upon being shown to our room, we were immediately very disappointed. I would equate it with a 2 star hotel... More

During a group tour my wife and I spent three enjoyable days in this small hotel complex and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The location is very secluded and beautiful. A heated stream runs through the property which is rather unique. The rooms are small, but well decorated, comfortable and very clean. The one central restaurant serves a reasonable variety of food... More

I came here for a work trip. The location is beautiful, the staff very friendly and everything is very clean. But if I'd came here for vacation, I'd have experienced everything the resort has to offer after a day or 2 and would have been extremely bored after that. The food is meh. My package included only buffet food so... More

This is the nicest hotel in the area .... Air conditioned rooms and all the hot water you want. The food was hit and miss .... some days good but other days disappointing. Got into San Jose the last day of November and drove to this hotel..we should have gotten the GPS option with the rental car as there are no road signs. But pleasant people along the way guided us there. After a 3 hour drive through the rain, fog and dark on twisty roads with no shoulders we finally arrived at... More

Perhaps I should call this review "you can never go back" ! We were there 20 years ago and it was a beautiful boutique hotel. There was a beautiful dining room where a marimba played in the evenings, there was a little zoo on the property and a lovely warm spring. When we ordered crepes for dessert they wheeled a... More
