We are an extended family of 5, including a 2 year old, who had the very good fortune to stay at Montfaucon for 5 days early in May. The house has been beautifully restored, is very comfortable and better still we had it all to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful - Mo went out of her way... More

I was so enchanted by my visit to Montfaucon in 2009, that without thinking, I jumped at the chance to return last month. Would it really be possible to recapture the magic a second time? Maybe arriving at the midnight hour in the pouring rain had something to do with it...but the instant Ian opened the gorgeous door, I stepped... More

I was at Montfaucon for a week long trip which included cycling through the beautiful countryside, dining at top restaurants in the region and exploring the great sights that the area has to offer. We were hosted by a wonderful group of staff who looked after our every need. I can't wait to return. This place is a must!

This was my second visit to Montfaucon. I joined a group last year to paint plein air. The accomodations along with the cordiality of the owners and staff made me bring my husband along this time. He was as pleased as I was enjoying the scenery of the beautiful area, drinking the local wines, eating fine French cusine and touring... More

This was my first trip to Europe and I could not have asked for a better experience! The service was outstanding. The tour guides, Penny and Rochelle, were amazing. They made sure I had everything I needed, were professional, and yet I feel like I've made two new friends. Montfaucon is in an excellent location. The town of Limoux is... More

I bring a group of painters to paint in the Languedoc each summer and we always stay at Montfaucon. The staff and service are top notch and the accommodations are 5 star. The house is beautifully furnished and the rooms are large and also wonderfully decorated.

The entire week went much too fast. Between bike rides to lovely villages through rolling vineyards and fields of sunflowers ready to burst and guided tours to Cathar castles and villages, it wouldn't seem that there could be time for three-hour lunches and elegant, candle-lit dinners, but somehow the staff managed everything perfectly and each meal was a French feast.... My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Montfaucon for a leisure stay. Visiting Rennnes les Chateau, Grotte de Niaux, Montsegur, Foix and Alets les Bains, all our tours were guided by two very friendly, highly experienced young ladies who are in charge of directing tours at Montfaucon. Montfaucon is located perfectly for visiting the Cathar country. What unusual experiences... More

Ten of us planned a week at Montfaucon that included everything - transportation, food, wine, tours, etc. From the moment that Penny and Rochelle picked us up at the Toulouse airport, I knew we had made the right choice. Everything about the house was perfect - the furniture, the fabrics, the art and most of all the comfy beds. They... More

We were highly impressed with the beauty of the interior construction with its winding staircase, large beam ceilings and marble floors. It was like falling back in time as we entered through the front entry. The staff took care of all our needs with daily room service, breakfast served each morning with friendly smiles. Our tour guides treated us to... More
