Stayed at the hotel for two nights last September during a tour of Sri Lanka. The setting is perfect and the hotel is generally of a good standard. As always the Sri Lankans could not do enough for you. Food first class with a lot of choice. I would think if you transferred this hotel to Europe, it would be... More

The Palms is a pleasant hotel & the staff are very friendly. Had to put a do not disturb on the door to stop the cleaning staff coming in every hour! The pool is right next to the beach so you can swim in the sea or the pool. There are canals coming into the sea & the water can... More

Unfortunately when you say that a hotel stay is 90% good, it’s the other 10% that sticks in your memory. The Palm Hotel delivers up a very good beachside experience: large swimming pools, good buffet meals, and well-tended grounds and rooms. But the hotel’s peculiar penchant for VERY loud lounge bands will ensure that you cannot have a peaceful sleep... More

The lobby and pool area at this hotel were very nice but I don't think the rooms were done to the same standard. The rooms were a good size with a small couch and table and nice balcony. However, the bathroom could do with a bit more work! The reception staff could do with a lesson in customer service too... More

We spend two wonderful weeks at the Palms. To our surprise, the hotel looks even nicer in real than on the pictures you see. The room service/cleaning was extremely well done. The dinner buffé was OK. But we can highly recommend their fish restaurant - Fisherman's wharf at lunch time. Their grilled prawns were just great. When tried it for... More

Very sorry to inform that the hotel "The Palms - Beruwala" is one of the worst I have ever stayed. Even the hotel manager was very RUDE while responding to our request to stop Dj music in open corridor, probably with 2-400 watts speakers, or to reduce the volume so that we could sleep at 10:30 pm. In fact he... More

The Palms has been a dream resort for me and my family, Their staff has been polite, hospitable, and always willing to help. The Food has been the highlight of our experience here. The Executive Chef and his staff has provided a exceptional culinary experience. The different types of food from different parts of the world was a delight to... More

My family and I couldn't get out of The Palms fast enough. We were expecting two tranquil days of enjoying the sea. Instead, we found a dirty beach littered with garbage and open sewers running into the water. There was Christmas music playing all day long in the hotel's public areas and then live music in the lobby until around... More
