Hotel Bratsera is the perfect spot to relax from your Greek holiday. Set back from the busy port street the hotel is its own little oasis. The courtyard and pool are a quiet and beautiful spot to relax and rest. We were originally booked for 3 nights but at the last minute changed to four nights and thankfully they were... More

Hotel Bratsera, once an old sea sponge factory, is all you need in this sleepy, laid back paradise of an island. It's the opposite of corporate as it's run by friendly locals who do a wonderful job of making you feel at home. Don't expect ritzy rooms or fancy bathrooms (although the rooms are very nice and very clean, this... More

Family and friends on a day trip were so taken with this charming little town that we quickly resolved to change our plans and try and stay the night! We therefore consulted Tripadvisor and were delighted when this hidden gem of a hotel were able to accommodate all of us at very short notice. Set within an old converted natural... More

We stayed in Bratsera this August for 4 nights right after leaving The Four Seasons Suits on Plakes. My only concern was would it be as peaceful but although right on one of the busier little streets leading to the port once you pass into the courtyard you leave all the bustle behind. The old stone walls of the factory... More

What an amazing experience. My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I cannot fault it, from the food to the accommodation, the service - everything was just wonderful. We loved the pool and the quietness of the courtyard. It is really close to the harbour and there are wonderful shops and restaurants close by, all in... More

The room was rather small, which was a bit scary at first, but there is no reason to stay in the room, other than to sleep. Even if you are not out enjoying the charms of Hydra, the courtyard, which has lots of shade, tables, lounge chairs, a restaurant and a pool, is somewhere one could spend a great deal... More

The Bratsera was an unexpected pleasure. A certain elegance touches all aspects of the property, from the entrance to the gracious lobby to the rooms. Very clean and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

Three years later we went back to the Bratsera. As soon as I walked in, I remembered what brought me here in the first place: it really doesn't matter how busy and hectic the island is, Bratsera shelters you. It is peaceful and quiet and it has new beds! We couldn't believe it! We slept sooo well, we enquired about... More

The staff at the hotel was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Rooms were clean, well-kept, and very unique reflecting the history of the sponge industry on the island. Lovely pool within a peaceful courtyard was a peaceful oasis to return to after hiking along the coast or visiting the busy village.

The hotel is' a jewel, clean, well decorated, the rooms are bright, the breakfast plentiful and tasty, the pool makes the atmosphere of the garden chic and relaxing ... BUT there are many families in this hotel, with too many children who occupy all day long all the common areas of the pool ruin the atmosphere of tranquility!!! The staff... More
