My wife and I stayed in a superior room in mid May, 2012. The room and grounds were very nice. Breakfast was limited and not set up for a North American palate. Supper was OK, expensive for what you get, but....welcome to Italy. If your are looking for a peaceful place to stay, this is it. I would return anytime.

We returned for our second time to Tenuta di Ricavo in October and this time brought extra family with us. It was this time everything we promised them it would be. It is a beautiful place with caring proprietors and staff, good food, and fabulously located for travel all over Tuscany. Go...you won't be disappointed!

We are doing Tuscany by car and want a rural setting, this is the place. Great service, beautiful property, above average food. You don't get the sweeping panoramas that some others might have, as it is tucked away a bit, but that just heightens the privacy.
