This is a very nice hotel. We staid in a juniorsuite. It was not spacious but very nice. We had a jaccuzzi bathtub (nice). Good beds, we slept well, it was very quiet. The staff is very nice and helpful. This hotel ido not have the same fantastic view as Dalecarlia and Greens, but I prefer this hotel, it is... More

Tällberg is a place that you should visit. The hotel is charming, but I also think the restaurant was overpriced. We had our dog with us and then you generally are placed in old rooms (but paying the same as better rooms), The internet did not work in the room. So skip staying but visit Tällberg because its lovery.-9

Let's be short and frank here. The hotel is in a perfect place. Great views, well maintained grounds and premises; just what one wants when visiting this lovely part of Sweden. However for a place that sells itself on its family history, they just don't make the effort to provide a decent level of service. The staff are nice enough... More

Everything about this hotel is "mysigt" (charming, tastefully old-fashioned), and the village of Tallberg is glorious on sunny summer days. Our room was comfortable, with good closet space and large bed. It was refreshing to have an indoor pool in the hotel with very attractive changing rooms and sauna. Like the previous reviewer, however, we were disappointed with the restaurant.... More

Interesting building with traditional Swedish decoration and lots of nooks and crannies. Junior suite was nicely decorated with separate sitting area. We were looking forward to eating in the restaurant, but on the night we tried it we were very disappointed. The a la carte menu had only two choices for the first and main courses and no choice at... More

We where 15 people staying at the hotel. The purpose of our visit was the Vasa run from Salen to Mora. The hotel is beautiful and has not changed for the last hundred year. There where fire in the stow and snow in the garden - it is hard to find a more cozy place.

Visited Åkerblad during March, 2013. Since we are not into skiing, so March is not really the best time to visit Tällberg. Though there was plenty of snow, it is apparent that this area is beautiful in summer. The hotel is a family business, and the rooms were transformed from a traditional Swedish farm cottage. The bed is Hästens, a... More

This Hotel/Spa is one of the best we have stayed at in Sweden. When visiting Dalarna this is a must to stay at. Excellent service both in hotel and in the fantastic restaurant. Never ever have we experienced so fantastic taste in the food. We spent 3 nights in this hotel in December and we will for sure come back... More

The hotel is located close to the lake Siljan. We were there at the beginning of December - snow, lovely Christmas decoration everywhere - this hotel has a great spiritual atmosphere! History breathes from all corners, all walls and all pieces of furniture. But it is still modern in its services. Our rooms were in one of the small cottages... More

Akerblads is a many generational family hotel dating back to the middle ages. It is in the Dalarna region where the Dala horses, symbols of Sweden, are manufactured. The red wooden buildings throughout this heritage region establish a unique ambience before you even reach the modest approach to the hotel. Our room was large, authentically furnished and decorated and comfortable.... More
