When a business markets itself as having “heritage” perhaps they should first consider a venture such as Åkerblads Hotell in Tällberg. They can date the original building back to the early 1400’s, and we met with the cheerful 21st generation descendant (and her young daughter, who will presumably be the 22nd generation before long….) We spent four nights over the... More

The 13 members of our family wanted to celebrate a 60 years anniversary of one of the members in a old, nice and cosy little hotel in Tällberg. We are asking ourselves if we have had too high expectancies for our visit...A very big hotel, not at all personal, not specially nice, cosy or comfortable rooms for us having booked... More

We stayed for one night in a Double room chamber which is a smaller double room. The room was very nice with a newly renovated bath room. The hotel and the environment is fantastic with old tree houses all painted in red. We stayed in the main building, which is recommended, and there where also hotel rooms in several other... More

This is a very nice hotel. We staid in a juniorsuite. It was not spacious but very nice. We had a jaccuzzi bathtub (nice). Good beds, we slept well, it was very quiet. The staff is very nice and helpful. This hotel ido not have the same fantastic view as Dalecarlia and Greens, but I prefer this hotel, it is... More

Tällberg is a place that you should visit. The hotel is charming, but I also think the restaurant was overpriced. We had our dog with us and then you generally are placed in old rooms (but paying the same as better rooms), The internet did not work in the room. So skip staying but visit Tällberg because its lovery.-9

Let's be short and frank here. The hotel is in a perfect place. Great views, well maintained grounds and premises; just what one wants when visiting this lovely part of Sweden. However for a place that sells itself on its family history, they just don't make the effort to provide a decent level of service. The staff are nice enough... More

Everything about this hotel is "mysigt" (charming, tastefully old-fashioned), and the village of Tallberg is glorious on sunny summer days. Our room was comfortable, with good closet space and large bed. It was refreshing to have an indoor pool in the hotel with very attractive changing rooms and sauna. Like the previous reviewer, however, we were disappointed with the restaurant.... More

Interesting building with traditional Swedish decoration and lots of nooks and crannies. Junior suite was nicely decorated with separate sitting area. We were looking forward to eating in the restaurant, but on the night we tried it we were very disappointed. The a la carte menu had only two choices for the first and main courses and no choice at... More

We where 15 people staying at the hotel. The purpose of our visit was the Vasa run from Salen to Mora. The hotel is beautiful and has not changed for the last hundred year. There where fire in the stow and snow in the garden - it is hard to find a more cozy place.
