We were on a bicycle trip, and we were so glad to arrive at Statles Rorbusenter after riding in the rain all day! The woman at the reception desk was so warm and welcoming, and our cottage was beautiful! I chose one of the new cottages, and it was spotless, spacious, and even had a few tea bags so we... More

We rented one of the typical "Rorbuer houses" for two nights which was clean, comfortable and equipped with a kitchen. The location is very quiet and the next stores are 10km away in Leknes. Unfortunately the dishwasher wasn't working but they tried to fix it. Washing machine and dryer in a separte laundry room worked very well. All the houses... More

Ottar Statle picked us up from Leknes airport and drove us to our Rorbu. We were in no. 18 which is in a small block of 6 a little apart from the other rorbus. We had a living room/well equipped kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. For 3 mornings and two evenings we were the only two people having breakfast/dinner in the... More

There are quite a few cabins, new and old. The old cabins are for couples. The interior is basic and some furniture need to be replaced. Our couch had seen better days. The beds were lumpy and I had a real back pain the next morning. When the owners heard of this, they immediately changed the beds for new ones.... More

We stayed at a newly build Rorbu with 2 bedrooms and 2 washroom. The kitchen are well equipped and all the furniture are new. It is location is a little bit far away from Leknes city center. Should drive to there. The view is good, it just next to the sea. And a good place to see the midnight sun.

There was a storm and a lot of dammage. Thus there a new huts/wooden houses now. Eachhaving two or three rooms with own shower and toilet. A shared living with kitchen, fridge, TV and a good balcony looking at the fjord. Breakfast and dinner (both average but OK) at the main building. Wifi all over the place when the weather... More

Just got back from our winter hols staying at Statles Rorbusenter at Mortsund on the fabulous Lofotons in Norway. What an absolutely spectacular situation this destination is. Our host, Otto met us from the ship and took us to the Rorbusenter where we were served our dinner before being driven to our accommodation. The Statles family are very friendly and... More

The welcome was more than cold with no smile and we were told that for touristic questions there was a tourist office in Leknes (thank you !) Our Rorbu was traditional but next to the laundry, so we could hear the washing machine noise even late in the evening. There is a restaurant but we didn't try because it was... More

We stayed two days in the rorbu which is a typical lodging of this part of Norway (old small fisherman house). It was really really great, the best part of our trip. Inside the rorbu, it was really nice. Clean, quite new and charming. Like a small swiss chalet! You had everything you needed, being kitchen, chimney and even TV... More
