Located 5 minutes by bus from Svolvær. Dormitory space reasonably priced, by Norway's standard. Surroundings are scenic and quiet. A few minutes walk to the shore and cetral Kabelvåg. Rooms are clean. Love the breakfast.

The hostel is an actual school, so you will stay in students rooms, but with no belongings in there. We were lucky to get a family room. They are big and you will have enough space. The rooms and shower were very clean, almost sterile. the distance to the town is bit a minus, but within 10 minutes walk you... More

We had a private double room in what seems to be the newest building. The room itself is large enough, and with clean towels and bed sheet I would say it satisfies our expectations of a hostel. On the other hand, paying at least as much as hotels charges in Norway, I also have to some degree judge them on... More

I've backpaked 3 weeks in Norway and Sweden in June 2013 and so I've been in a lots of hostels. This one was by far the best one during my whole holiday. Friendly staff, breakfast and bed linen included, clean rooms and bathrooms and free use of the wash machine. Price in dormitory can first seems a bit high, but... More

Stayed here in June in both types of room. The hostel is in essence a boarding school, used for accommodation during the summer months. There are 2 sections. one in the older building where rooms have shared facilities, the other section in a newer building 50 metres away where the rooms have private facilities. I had a room in both... More

Excellent family room-the largest family room we had in Norway. comfortable beds with excellent views. Breakfast basic but good value considering the standard of the room . Good position for visiting the area and very quiet. the family room is in a new building hence the good standard of accommodation

Lofoten hostel is located on a small peninsula near Kabelvag, quite close to the Lofoten Cathedral (it is a good landmark if you are know when to turn from E10 route). It consists of a few buildings normally used for a boarding school. The room was quite clean but equipped only with two beds, a table and a chair. On... More
