This is a place mostly meant for lokal family or company events i.e. weddings, seminars etc. What makes it attractive is its location overlooking the majestic Bjørnefjorden with the Folgefonne glacier in the distance (good weather/visibility a pre-condition to see the glacier). Comfortably situated about 45m drive from Bergen it is also a good alternativ to a far more expensive... More

Thank you for your kind review - we appreciate any and all tips and constructive criticism which results in an even better experience for our future guests. We are very lucky with our views but then again, Norway has an abundance of water and colour and natural beauty. We appreciate a laid back approach at our hotel and a rustic... More

We stayed here for one night when we were visiting Bergen. I choose this hotel because i was looking a place outside the city. It is a nice small hotel by the fjords. We had also a dinner in its restaurant which was also good. The only negative thing i would say is , its a little bit overprices even... More

Dear Erman! Thank you for your kind review. We hope to welcome you back one day and that you revisit the fjords. Depending on the time of year our prices fluctuate and when ordering a room directly with us it is possible to get and half-board package which works out nicely in financial terms. September is a high volume month... More

Paying around 1850kr per night does hurt. However it is a nice place. It reminds me a lot about the huts in the mountains, run by DNT. In my opinion they are even more the value since you are in the middle of nowhere.

While Os isn't the most exciting place on earth (understatement) I enjoyed my stay here. Great ocean view, fresh air and an old but well kept building makes for a good atmosphere. The food they served was great (wild boar) and Amarone wine. Yummy! I'd gladly have another conference there, or bring my family for a few days to enjoy... More

Weekend break for grandparents, parents and 9 month old baby. The hotel comprises the main house/reception and several smaller houses, all converted farm properties. We were given rooms, note not adjacent rooms, on the ground floor in the main house, very handy having all amenities nearby. For babysitting purposes we had our own baby-call, but what with the paper thin... More

It was about 40 minute driving from Bergen and the reason was: not a single room for rent left in Bergen. The guesthouse recommended by the information office in Bergen- well done for them. The place as we told was an ex farm, design and decorated by a young lady one of the owner of the place. Actually she did... More

This beautifully located hotel is very atmospheric, both from the outside and on the inside. The room we had wasn't the biggest, but because of all the wooden elements, very 'romantic'. The little balcony with a view over the lake was a nice touch. With the beautiful city of Bergen nearby, this is a hotel I would recommend to anyone... More

The rooms are clean and tidy and rather sweetly decorated. We had a stable room so sitting room/balcony downstairs and bedroom (with 4 beds) up steep ladder on the top floor - rather fun but not if you are not steady on your feet. It was all good but the rooms were not sound proofed and that was not ideal.

As mentioned by other travelers, this is not your run of the mill hotel. Our room was more like a ski lodge, with two loft beds, a nice size (big) living room, a cot, and funny enough, a privately accessed bathroom outside our room. It is more like a typical ski condo than a hotel room. We liked it. It... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Bjornefjorden Gjestetun last week and liked it very much. Truthfully, we were a little disappointed when we first arrived. The hotel website had led us to believe that the hotel would have a more secluded and rural setting. In actuality, the hotel is located in an upscale suburb of Bergen. The... More
