This refers particularly to the destination. Henningsvaer is an artists haven. The light is magical. But there is more than just a picturesque harbour. A walk from the car park will lead out to the windswept headland. Bryggehotell is the main accommodation but there are also several fine restaurants. Henningsvaer is just 20 minutes drive from Svolvaer.

As it was low saison, we were only one of the two rooms booked in March. The rooms are not big but cosy, clean and have everything you need- including a great view! What we found even more important is that the staff members were amazingly friendly, accommodating and helpful. We would definitely visit again in a heartbeat.

Stayed here one night in early March 2014. Quietly situated in Henningsvaer harbour, we received high standards of service in spite of the place being mainly empty. This is off-season for the Lofoten Islands so unfortunately their restaurant was closed. Never-the-less the lobby with its open fire was warm and inviting and the breakfast spread was lovely. Szandra deserves special... More

We were here in the end of August and the town closes dowh. The room has a fantastic view. The room is a bit cramped but is comfortable and make sure you get a room on the waterway. The morning breakfast is average. In the evening the first night the restaruant was closed so we were sent to a pub... More

My partner and I stayed four nights here and really liked it. First plus point is for the location, right by the water and with a car park adjacent. Breakfast was great, an ample buffet with plenty of options. The staff were friendly too, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back. There is a wood fire in... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in August. Clean, comfortable room overlooking the harbor. It's modern, so lacks the charm of the rorbu cabins, but doesn't feel too out of place. Good beds and clean, compact bathroom. Nice lobby/lounge area with a fireplace. The restaurant serves a decent breakfast and a delicious dinner menu that competes with... More

What a beautiful place! The hotel is of good standard, the room was nice and clean but the real selling point here is the views. Mountains on one side, the sea on the other. Amazing. The decor of the hotel is nice and quite modern which is rare in these parts. The lounge area downstairs is nice. The breakfast buffet... More

This Hotel we can highly recommend to all Lofoten Tourists!! It's situated right at the Fjord / Harbour. The interiour of the Hotel is very cosy with a lovely fireplace and a nice restaurant. Right at arrival we were not so happy with our room as there is a walkway going by right in front of the windows. We therefore... More

Henningsvaer is a beautiful, small fishing village and this hotel, right at the entrance of the town, is lovely, with a choice of rooms in the main building or cottages around it. We chose the cottage (which also had a kitchen) and really enjoyed our stay, buying groceries nearby, cooking our own meals etc. The village hasn't truly woken up... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Henningsvaer Bryggehotell The charming fishing village of Henningsvaer is situated on several islands. This cluster of islands are surrounded by impressive mountains that steeply rises up from the salty Lofoten sea. There are no shopping centres here, instead there are lots of small and cosy shops, studios, galleries and places to eat. Here you can experience the Midnight Sun, Northern Lights, Autumn Storms and the most amazing Summer Days - all depending on season and weather. But, no matter when you arrive, nature will be beautiful, challenging and setting the mood. Hope to see you!! Linda Karlsen Hotel Manager ... more   less
