We have just returned from a week at this resort.Friendly staff, yummy food and a lovely setting. The beach boys are a big problem and make walking on the beach a bit unpleasant. We noticed guests giving the beach boys drinks which is definitely not a good idea. That encourages to hang around the resort. You need to be firm with them and... It is the best hotel!!! The staff is the friendliest ever! Probably you can find more modern but if you are looking for a quiet, friendly and nice hotel must to choose Diamonds Mapenzi Beach! The only problem is that you won't go to home or want to be back asap. ;) The best choice!!! :)

The highlight of our trip was the amazing food that this place serves day in day out. There is something for everyone in the menu. Well done guys. Beach is relaxing and so it the... More

We celebrated our engagement at Mapenzi and we were overwhelmed by the super friendly staff! Every member at the restaurant or pool/beach bar went out of their waypto make you feel warm and welcome. The friendly greeting of "jambo" instantly putsoyou in a good mood and I still find myself wanting to greet people with a friendly jambo. Excellent value... More

Stayed here for a week after a grueling safari. Completely chilled out after the stay - just what was needed. I was worried that as a vegetarian I would struggle. Well I was overwhelmed with the variety of food on display for every meal thanks to main Chef Victor:) Everything was well laid out with so many different choices from... More

We spent four nights at Mapenzi towards the end of September after being on safari and it was a lovely place to spend some "chill out" time. While it is a large resort, it never felt crowded as the grounds are spacious, as well as being beautifully maintained. We had a garden room towards the back of the resort which... More

Romantic atmosphere. Very good (and safe) food and drinks. Very good service. Room a bit outdated but clean, spacious and everything works OK (no TV however). Good sleep quality. Quiet: no hard core discos, no loud night entertainment. Many Italians guests but also people from other countries. On the minus side: During high tide there is no beach, during low... More

After trying several all-inclusive resorts in Zanzibar - I'm sure this is the one where you get most for your money. Great food and staff, all welcoming and some good activities available! To go sailing at sunset, or to do some kayaking in between the hours on the beach or by the pool - a true paradise for couples, families... More
