The Samui Sense is located directly on the beach about 20 metres from the ocean. There is a large selection of drinks and food. We stopped off for an ice cream and it was delightful. Lovely food and drinks. Our waitress was lovely, some of the other staff seem a little less that interested as there was not many people... More

Fabulous location. Yummy breakkie at sunrise. Don't buy the drinks - ridiculous prices for basic mango shakes - at least 3 times anywhere else. I dont think I will stay there again, just a bit too impersonal for me.

Enjoyed our week at Samui sense. Confused why some comments say miserable staff, as we found the staff to be lovely as all Thai folk are. If you ignore folk like they are not even there, then what do you expect, speak to people and have a laugh with them and you will get good responses back. We had good... More

Had a very enjoyable stay at the samui sense for the last two days, the room was clean and homely (save for the large dust pile hiding under the bed) and the staff on the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. The location is perfection! Right on the beach overlooking a huge ocean with the curve of lamai beach... More

Recently returned from celebrating our anniversary at Samui Sense in Lamai. We visit Samui once or twice a year and thought we should give Lamai a try instead of Chaweng. We carefully researched hotels and concluded that Samui Sense best fit our needs and budget. Pros: - Location - The hotel itself is perfectly located at the nice quiet end... More

The rooms are outstanding! The décor is very Thai (as we Westerners would imagine it to be) We had a cabin, and while it was dark, that was not an issue for us. The décor is outstanding. There where a few issues with ants, but we found if you immediately removed the flowers, the ants went with. There is repellent... More

This was a lovely stay in a friendly small hotel not fancy but very comfortable very comfortable andreal Thai.Positioned right on the beach at Lamui. The beach is lovely and not the busy end but near the village attraction if required. The staff are brilliant always smiling and hard working. You can eat from the restaurant at tables on the... Our room was clean, tidy and well equipped. There's no tea, only coffee and they give the usual complimentary water. The restaurant area is very basic, it's quite sparse and not much care is given to appearance. In the evenings they set up as a restaurant on the beach which with the help of some lighting looks quite effective. We... More
