The room was good. I would say it was excellent but definitely good. Overlooked a large undeveloped field with a Muay Thai ring on the other side. I could hear the punches and kick. Never made it over there. Sad. The owners are French and I believe several of the guests were too. They were having a great time with... More

Thank you very much Barney for your comment the Sallamai team shares and appreciates. Actually there are few plugs in each room that do not cut the electricty when you leave the room. We apologize for not indicating you this point. We hope to see you again and share a glass of French wine with you ! More

We stayed with another couple and had originally booked a two night stay but easily extended to a third night while we were staying. Sadly we had booked through Expedia rather than direct and so they were unable to apply the 20% discount for a 3 night stay but they were very accommodating in general. This small hotel is set... Thank you Ben for your quite comprehensive review we do appreciate and share with the Sallamai team. By the way, there must be a misunderstanding somewhere, we checked your bill and we have not found the bottle of water you mention...You may have got a receipt by mistake, sorry for that ;-) We equally enjoyed having you with us and... Zen peaceful in Lamai! I have nothing negative to say. The rooms big, new and clean. The sparkling pool was so relaxing with perfect water temperature. Soft spa music added to the ambiance. Breakfast was delicious. The house keeping staff friendly but not intrusive. But most of all was Isabele the owner, she was always available to assist with every... More

Me and my boyfriend had booked here for 3 nights and extended to 4 as we enjoyed it so much! We both agreed at what great value the hotel was and how nice the owners were! The breakfast was also a highlight, tea/coffee, fruit, toast and jams, eggs, everything you could want. Location wise, it was slightly off the main... More

The Sallamai Resort is definitely a great place to stay if you are looking for a place that doesn't cost the world but yet offers that "treat yourself" atmosphere. As mentioned by a lot of people before, the two owners are really really nice. They offer advice on food and sights in the area and make you feel completely at... More

For our first trip to Samui we wanted a hotel close enough to action but quiet and peaceful. We definitely made the right choice. This lovely small resort, close to Lamai beach, stands along a side street with very little traffic during the day and none at night. With 10 rooms only, a shaded garden / patio and a swimming... It was nice to stay somewhere quiet yet close to the main road and beach. We would definitely recommend renting a scooter as it is a bit of a walk in the heat- inexpensive and a great way to see the sites. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, the pool was nice, breakfast was ok and our room (the... More

Hotel itself can't fault. Very friendly staff, especially owners, always ready to give advise and also offer it. Scooter hire at hotel, jacuzzi in delux rooms. Buffet breakfast very good, eggs to order, fruit, juice and tea/coffee. Few things to bear in mind though. 1. The hotel is around a 20min walk to the beach, and a 10min downhill walk... More

Hello thank you for your comment that will help us to improve the quality of our service. We are currently improving the Wifi network in all rooms despite the irregular service of local providers. Dogs that are quite numerous everywhere in Samui and Thais are used to say barking dogs seldom bite. We do regret they are enough to give... More

My girlfriend and i stayed here for the last few nights of our holiday.its a small welcoming resort, the rooms are simple and clean, the resort itself is off the main road so a moped might be necessary. Our stay (me and girlfriend), in Sallamay Resort was of 5 days; hotel is very clean, big breakfast in very quiet location at about 5-10 minutes by motorbike (rentable directly from Bruno or Isabelle, 2 very gently French owners) from the quiet Lamai beach. They can send pick up car when you arrive at Koh Samui. Not a big hotel... More
