I would like to recommend Samaya Bura,. My husband and I and also a friend stayed there recently. We did the Thai Cooking Class with Mr Oh (Prayad) and Ms Jum and really enjoyed it. They took us to the local market, we then went back to the kitchen and were taught how to chop and prepare the food and... More

Me and my partner stayed with a scoopon we purchased, and had a very good time. We weren't expecting 5 star, however the quality of the room was nice. Clean sheets, a nice shower/bath and a balcony overlooking the lawns and beach. The buffet breakfast was a hit and miss most mornings, I'd suggest trying somewhere else or getting a... More

The hotel it self was ok for a low price accommodation. But we expected a nice hotel at a sandy beach and this is definitely wrong. The hotel does not a have a beach, only a stoney dirty water space. The pool is ok. The room was rarely designed and equipped. It was not that clean and the air-condition is... More

The hotel is in a more quiet area of Lamai beach (which I liked). If you are looking for party, party, party - Don't stay here. Everything in this hotel is overpriced. It is not an upscale hotel that would justify the prices. However there are reasonable priced restaurants close by (walking distance).

We booked a mountain view room, the view from these is actually of a busy road and is very noisy. The room was dirty and the bed sheets had stains (I've uploaded photos). We went to reception to ask if we could be moved to another room or have a refund so we could book elsewhere. Both requests were refused.... More

I booked a room with moutain view / which was a terrible mistake - I was not aware that the main road is passing by - you have traffic noise the whole night. Well it is high season - that's why prices are high. I paid for a Superior room Euro 124 per night. If you bring a visitor to... More

My husband and I stayed at Samaya Bura Hotel for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The interior is of top quality and the staff was extremely friendly from the day of our arrival. We felt very welcome during our entire stay. We had a stunning view from our room on the top floor. We enjoyed great cocktails at the... More

We stayed here three nights and were very happy with everything. The customer service was great, the breakfast was really good, and the whole place is very beautiful. The only down side is that is not within walking distance of some of the bigger cities but we rented motor bikes or took taxis and it was no big deal. All... More

As soon as we booked our room for Samaya, we had an issue with their reservation system (we did not receive a confirmation email, though payment was made) and tried several times to reach out to their front desk without any success. Not to mention the fact that none of their staff speaks english, we decided to deal with that... More

Stayed in Samaya Bura for 4 nights in August 2013. On check-in I was given the wrong form to fill in (someone elses) and they charged my card for one night of accommodation. This was quickly resolved and after another charge to the card for the remaining three nights we were all set. We stayed in a Sea view room,... More
