I stayed at Samaya Bura for one month whilst doing a fasting cleanse at the SpaSamui resort next door. When I arrived and discovered that the hotel was right on a very busy and very noisy main artery road that circles the entire island of Koh Samui I was quite dismayed to say the least. But, to be fair, if... More

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and it has been an enjoyable experience. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Rooms very big and clean, location is right on the beach and we rented scooters for getting around as it is the cheaper way to go. We really appreciated the friendly and very knowledgeable girl who helps you book... More

When we arrived at sumaya bura we were pleased to be informed that we had been upgraded for free from our regular double room with mountain view to the honeymoon suite with sea view!! Wow! Even more pleased after getting to the room with its huge double bed and jacuzzi bath on its own terrace! Rooms cleaned daily and are... More

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at Samaya Bura, the location was great, you could get various transport day and night right outside the front door and there were loads of restaurant choices close by. Located right on the beach, we enjoyed cocktails at the beach bar most nights before dinner. We dined at the restaurant two nights... More

We stayed here in 2012 and it was lovely as my review states, this time we booked direct with the hotel, informing them it's our second visit - when we arrived - no welcome back, no conversation, very cold greeting, they had given us a room facing the road, we informed them its not the room we had before, so... I would like to recommend Samaya Bura,. My husband and I and also a friend stayed there recently. We did the Thai Cooking Class with Mr Oh (Prayad) and Ms Jum and really enjoyed it. They took us to the local market, we then went back to the kitchen and were taught how to chop and prepare the food and... More

Me and my partner stayed with a scoopon we purchased, and had a very good time. We weren't expecting 5 star, however the quality of the room was nice. Clean sheets, a nice shower/bath and a balcony overlooking the lawns and beach. The buffet breakfast was a hit and miss most mornings, I'd suggest trying somewhere else or getting a... More

The hotel it self was ok for a low price accommodation. But we expected a nice hotel at a sandy beach and this is definitely wrong. The hotel does not a have a beach, only a stoney dirty water space. The pool is ok. The room was rarely designed and equipped. It was not that clean and the air-condition is... More

The hotel is in a more quiet area of Lamai beach (which I liked). If you are looking for party, party, party - Don't stay here. Everything in this hotel is overpriced. It is not an upscale hotel that would justify the prices. However there are reasonable priced restaurants close by (walking distance).

We booked a mountain view room, the view from these is actually of a busy road and is very noisy. The room was dirty and the bed sheets had stains (I've uploaded photos). We went to reception to ask if we could be moved to another room or have a refund so we could book elsewhere. Both requests were refused.... More
