Karlaby Kro is a nice experience . We had booked a weekend gourmet stay. Upon arrival a very friendly receptionist greeted us. The rooms are large and is located in both the main house and in the 3 wings. The room standard is fine, as is the bathroom. Personally, I prefer a firm hand soap, but the liquid soap and... More

Me and my fiancé stayed here the last two nights of our two week Swedish summer vacation. Österlen is a beautiful part of Sweden definitely worth visiting and Karlaby Kro a great place to stay while doing so. The hotel is built in a an old and typical farm in the middle of the country side. Rooms are sizeable, clean... More

I had gotten a voucher for christmas for a 2 person stay and gourmet dinner at Karlaby Kro. We started out happy and set the course for southern Sweden. The place was nice and in stress free surroundings. We had an upgrade for the room and that was really nice and big so the expectations kept increasing. However the food... More

Our department had an off-site at Karlaby Kro 10 days ago. The place is beautiful and the environment is charming. Although it was not very cold outside (around 0 deg C), the common areas such as the dining room and the conference room were very cold. I am personally not disturbed by that, but most of my colleagues had to... More

This hotel is a large old property with stylish thatched roof buildings in an old farm style. There is a beautiful pool semi indoors with plants and objects. There is a sauna and massage. The front desk is remarkably unfriendly however. The restaurant prepares sophisticated cooking, very good, but small portions and with wine so out of line, price wise,... More

Executive summary: slow service, no wine knowledge, a bit cold main course and too many flies. I have visited Karlaby Kro many times before where I have stayed at the hotel and also enjoyed the restaurant so of course I had high expectations also this time. Unfortunately I was rather dissapointed and I will tell you my full story. This... More

Although difficult to find, a little off the beaten track, well worth the trip. Very romantic setting-the rooms were beautifully decorated, staff very hospitable. We had been on the road for several days and the first thing my husband and I did was take a nap in the outdoor bed-swings. Heavenly. The pool, sauna, and spa were all lovely. We... More

lovely room, lots of space (and we sleept in one of the small rooms), but beds to soft. The tv selection is not great, primarily swedish channel, and the tv is places on a food only abouth ½m high. So the view from either the sofa or the bed isnt good. Large bathroom with showergel, moisturiser, conditioner and so on,... More

Karlaby inn is a very beautiful inn - in no man's land. Magnificent park. The rooms are great - bright and tastefully decorated. The staff is smiling and very service minded. We ate a 6 course meal in the restaurant. Definitely very good - especially the main course was elegant.og tasteful. But wine prices are very high - and too... More

Nothing in this hotel is shabby or cheap, this is a real gem in the countryside of Sweden. Having stayed in its impressive sister hotel, Hackeberga Slot, we prefer this lovely little hotel. The rooms are very large indeed, and well equiped, with beautiful bathrooms. The communal spaces are beautiful and the food is FANTASTIC! If I had one criticism,... More
