Where to start? Dar Zina is pretty much perfect in every respect. It's an old Tunisian house built around a beautiful paved courtyard and with a roof terrace. Our room was air-conditioned, scrupulously clean and well-equipped. For most of our stay we had the place to ourselves, so it was quiet and relaxing - just what we needed. We have... More

Several rooms surround a courtyard in this gem of a B&B in Houmt Souk, run by Eric and Halima who are super-friendly. The rooms have beautiful detail yet are simple. Breakfast is in the hosts' lovely dining room, is fresh and tasty and includes local foods. It was great to get to know the area through Eric's recommendations. From our... More

Many of the previous reviews capture the way we also felt. If you are looking for an alternative to the large, impersonal hotels with a high price located in the Tourist Zone along the beach, then give Dar Zina a try. For my wife and I, it was a great "local" stay with good food, a beautiful suite room (1st... More

200 characters is not enough to describe what a great time we had. We arrived late, feeling tired and a bit stressed but straight away we were invited into their home as long lost friends! It just got better and better from there; Eric and Halima were perfect hosts! After a delicious breakfast including pancakes Eric took us and their... More

If you want to experience the local Djerba culture rather than simply soak the sun on the beach, Dar Zina is a great option. The traditional Tunisian house turned into bed and breakfast is owned by Eric and Halima, a very friendly and helpful Tunisian/Belgian couple. They both went to great lengths to make us feel at home and they... More

just come back from a weekend in Houmt Souk in Djerba, Tunisia. Enjoy staying with the super friendly hosts who really make you at home in their traditional guesthouse, together with whitewashed walls and the typical blue shutters. The bedrooms have been fitted out stylishly with terracotta floor tiles. Lovely breakfasts and home made evening meals made from local ingredients.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Dar Zina. The owners were so welcoming and hospitable, yet also left you at arm's length if that's what you preferred. We lingered in the mornings enjoying the delicious and plentiful breakfasts and when we did have dinner there we felt very much at home and enjoyed the chat as well as the food. The... More

Dar Zina is a beautiful home with 4 delightfully decorated rooms of a gorgeous white-washed courtyard. The hostess and her family are very welcoming. The home-cooking each morning is delicious with plenty of variety. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the hosts are very happy to talk about Tunisia, it's culture, it's history, and even take you around the town, pointing... More

The first thing to say is that of your idea of holiday heaven is sitting on the beach at Djerba's tourist zone, lathered in oil and cooking like a lobster , then Hamt Souk and Dar Zina probably aren’t for you. If however you want to experience life in a nice little Tunisian seaside town, in a restored traditional home,... More

Very nice house, quiet, well decorated, furnished with care and taste. Warm and friendly hosts, very available and full of knowledge & good tips about the Tunisian experience. More than anything, the food was the best in all Tunisia : delicate spicies, full of taste and character, a discovery of very different meals (the way Halima is preparing the tajine... More
