The most amazing hotel experience ever. In a tiny alley in this pittoresque village, you'll find three houses next to each other which looks more like they will fall down in a short while, but when moving indoors you're speechless. Inside this unique building there i s just six rooms, but all different styled and classy. And the small grotto-like... More

We chanced upon this lovely wine bar in this out-of-the-way spot a few years ago and were so impressed with the wine, food and ambiance that when we returned this summer, we stayed at the inn for 2 nights. It is close to all the wineries in the Barolo region. This is a renovated medieval building with spacious rooms and... More

What a traveler's paradise. Tucked into a hillside cranny off a narrow village street, this place was an awesome surprise that includes monastery-like digs accompanied by glass pathways to allow one to see the almost archeological foundations. The spot also has an EXCELLENT restaurant and bar with international night life in an intimate setting. Giulio is extremely hospitable and made... More

This is a great place to stay. The architecture is very unique. Our room was quite nice. It was 2 levels and had a a nice balcony and kitchen in addition to the large bedroom and bath. The wine bar is fantastic and serves many good wines by the glass. They serve food during a happy hour. We dined at... More

What is Giulissimo? It's the best host you can imagine. Yes, Le Case della Saracca are very stylish and with most of the comfort (we just missed 2 comfortable chairs to relax) you expect when you do a trecking, dining and wine tasting trip to Monforte. Others may have this as well. What they don't have is the "patrone" Guilio,... More

We just spent three lovely nights at this unbelievable hotel in Monteforte. What a unique experience to sleep in rooms over 1000 years old! Very very comfortable, fantastic location, all amenities. Fabulous dining. breakfast must be ordered the night before and the kitchen is closed on wednesdays. The proprietor Julio is wonderful. Very helpful on all fronts and eager to... More

We travel to europe every fall and try and stay in cool, fixed up medieval buildings. Giulio has done an amazing job with Seracca and ranks among the best we have experienced. Best enoteca/cave EVER. Make sure you have dinner there. We ate there 2 out of 3 nights. Best appetizers. We were on a bike trip and found the... More

A special place... I have bene here for an aperitif, but it's so magic I booked already for a dinner. Amazing location, nice snack and amazing wines. And courtesy and wine know-how are top. A must try.

My wife and I stayed and had dinner here at peak tourist season in late July. It's a wonderful spot for both. The village of Monforte is charming and beautiful, and the surrounding Piemonte countryside and views are spectacular. The hotel is a bit hard to find but worth the effort. Parking was free and easy. The hotel is unique... More

Modern rooms built into century-old Italian houses - such a great atmosphere and so much romance! Giulio the host is super-friendly, knows the surounding wines and restaurants. The wine bar features an incredible variety of aperitivo snacks every night and the restaurant serves good Italian food. Very reasonably prized! The property is actually much nicer than it looks in the... More
