Stayed at Manta Lodge for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday. While the family is very nice, have to say - Buyer Beware! The rooms are dirty - bathroom full of mold on the ceiling and in the shower. Actually never took off my flipflops. Toilets are a brown-yellow color, door to the bathroom is brown from hand marks -... More

Manta Lodge is Manta Lodge! the staff will do anything for you and are fun. The accommodation is tired but clean. If you want five stars dont go to Speyside fullstop but if you want the best diving with staff who put your safety first but without exception take you on amazing dives then Sean and his crew are the... I was going to book into Bluewater Lodge but it was closed for renovations in early September so booked into Manta Lodge via Expedia. I showed up at about 10:45 in the morning and the place was deserted. I yelled and finally the grandson of the owner showed up and told me the peple who ran the lodge were out.... More

My friends were divers and I went along for the ride. The thrill of sharing the open water experience, even from the top, was great. In a flash a large object was out of the water and then splashed in.....wow..... even with snorkel and mask I was able to see beautiful fishes on the reef..and relax in clear waters. Good... More

I feel like I was born into this family run business..thats the way they make you feel. No pretense..if you want a Hilton then go there. If they don't have something they can find it..or you can. The food is always great and i tend to flirt with all the staff anyways and Clyde and Sean and the whole crew... More

I stayed at Manta Lodge for a long weekend and went diving on all three days I was there. The rooms are fairly simple but well air conditioned, that was most that mattered to me since I did not spend much time there apart from sleeping. I slept very well! The Lodge is located on a beautiful bay and all... More

The Manta Lodge is the perfect place for a diving vacation. Restaurant and pool are directly across the street from the beach. Great views and beach access. The diving? Incredible. The dive team at Manta Lodge is superb! The dive spots are full of life and beautiful corals. More fish than I've ever seen - amazing colors. Super friendly and... More

Thanks to a great diving staff. They were patient when teaching us to dive and provided great instruction and guided dives. The variety of dives available here is just stunning....we got to dive several locations on reefs, but also rockier adventure dives at Giles, London Bridge and Sisters that were totally different. All were beautiful, but the best overall memory... More

If your looking for the Hilton, this aint it. It is a nice family run lodge thats great for divers. The other reviews about cleanliness are accurate, but if you have traveled in the Caribbean, you should expect things like dirt in the corners, bugs and bats. The hotel is in the same area as a bird sanctuary, so be... More

I spent a full week at Manta Lodge, and went diving with their dive shop every day I was there. Note that anyone looking for a luxurious resort, or an active nightlife or obsequious staff won't find it here. Manta Lodge is a small, informal, family-run hotel. Speyside is quiet and relaxing. Trinis/Tobagians don't need to be ingratiating to tourists,... More
