This hotel is definitely past its sell by date. It`s a pity because a lick of paint and some t l c could do wonders. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and have more character than your usual "popular" Caribbean hotels. The view from the balcony was beautiful although the balcony itself would benefit from some upgrading. I was... More

Wow talk about a hidden gemstone in Tobago...Beautiful ocean view, private beach. Great hangout decks where my fiance and I just laid and soaked up the sun and view...amazing hospitality....Ask for Vandra...she got things done...and was a great help on setting up amazing excursions for dirt CHEAP. I remember going to the beach and there was no one else but... More

A hotel with character; yes, it is a bit old and has seen better days but the location, the friendly staff and the overall atmosphere make this a hotel we would revisit. We were upgraded to a junior suite at no extra cost, a lovely large room with wood panelled floor and a very comfortable bed. Large bathroom with complementary... More

The Blue Haven is definitely shabby, a bit dusty and not for the luxury loving traveller. But the bed was comfortable, the room was pleasant and if like us you are not too bothered about 'posh' but love wonderful views, perfect beaches, friendly staff and things to be a bit quirky, the Blue Haven maybe for you. We weren't expecting... More

This hotel is old. If I had my way it would be condemned! There was no hot running water, the wardrobe in my room was filthy, so was the bathroom door. The only thing good about it was the sea view. For lunch had to go down a lot of steps to the beach bar. The service in this hotel... More

The Blue Haven hotel is a special place. It is a hotel with history. Once, famous people used to live here. Now it is a bit old, but it has charm and personality. If you stay for a while, you will learn to know the owners and you will feel like home. This is the place to stay on Tobago.... More

Stayed whilst on the Saga Caribbean Islands tour for four nights. The views across the bay are very good. The pool area is fine and the pool water is cool. Whilst the hotel needs to undertake a maintenance review as many small things, ( e.g. taps falling off, air conditioning leaking, wardrobe doors needing to be returned to runners etc... More

We have just returned from a fabulous ten days at the Blue Haven hotel. Our room had an amazing sea views. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and we were never troubled by mosquitoes as we were last year in Antigua. The staff were always helpful, welcoming and friendly. Lunch and drinks at the beach bar were wonderful with... More

I completely agree with Rupert Chapman's review. My wife and I have just returned (early Feb) from a week at Blue Haven that exceeded our expectations in every area. Yes, the hotel is past its best, but you won't find a more glorious position - or better facilities for this kind of money. Large bedrooms, with huge comfortable beds and... More

Sally and I visited this lovely hotel in early December 2013. The location is stunning, on a low headland having the sea on three sides with steps down to a lovely sandy beach. The hotel has three wings and the accommodation is arranged so that all the rooms have a balcony or patio with good sea views. Being situated on... More
