For one night only the Turtle Beach Resort would have been very good for us - 4* good. Location, food, beach and adjoining rooms were all clean, fully functioning and with a lovely location for my family. The front of house staff were friendly and efficient mirroring the communication I had had with them earlier. The turtle reserve is an... More

My husband, myself and two other couples, stayed one night at this small beach resort. I really wished we would have stayed a little longer. We all stayed at the Hamor Sea View Rooms, which have a small sort of balcony/terrace. These rooms have sea views and are worth the extra money. The rooms and bathrooms are very simple but... More

I'm really disappointed. Room dirty, even the common bathroom.Really bad maintence. We asked for a room with bathroom inside and they asked 100 euro more for night. And far from the turtle beach. You can't sleep without air conditioning because there isn't windows and it is very noise.

Upon arrival at the resort you might be shocked at the site of all those shacks, thinking you ended up in a military desert camp, but on further investigation (and having prior bookings) the collection of huts / shacks is not bad at all. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean yet muffy (at least ours) and internet only worked in... More

There is no denying the rooms at Turtke beach are very basic, the ensuites minute and more like a wet room! But the location of this hotel is fabulous, the rooms were spotlessly clean. The beach is really lovely and looking back from the beach to the huts, they take on quite a different feel, it really makes you think... More

The four of us spent a weekend at TBR back in October 2013. We opted for 2 ‘Hammour’ rooms with own bathroom. As other reviewers have mentioned, the value for money relation is poor. This is not a cheap place to stay when you realise that it is basically a campsite but with more comfort. The expat staff try very... More

We only stayed one night in the resort to watch the turtles at Ras al Hadd beach. We didn't have time to use all the facilities, so we cannot comment on e.g. the beach. One facility we did want to use after arrival at the resort was the bar, but although we saw a number of people with beer on... More

This place gets three stars based mainly on the price.. there is a saying that there is nothing cheap in the GCC, and at close to $200 this place fits that rule. Given that everything is overpriced the TBR is It is fine as far as it goes, comfortable, clean rooms, buffet style food OK. And as a one night... More

We stayed in the hammour room with a sea view. It had a double bed and an extra single for my son. The en suite was great. All lovely. It is 2 star, but for a chilled weekend it is worth it. Children had a great time snorkelling and the bar drinks are cheap.

The rooms, individual huts, look a bit like like an oilfield workers camp, and the location looks desolate on Google Earth, but all that is very misleading. This is a perfect hotel to stay with (or without) kids to visit the turtle beaches. Most tourists we saw arrived in the afternoon, and departed again next morning. That is a mistake.... More
