the turtle viewing was a once in a lifetime experience!!! Though we missed it on the first day because the timings we were told were actually different from the actual... But postponing the trip through a day to see this was so so so worth it!!!!

Stayed here as part of a four day trip around northern Oman and we were happy with the service provided. Friendly staff. Decent room with attached bathroom. Got there too late to spend any time on their beach but appreciated a few glasses of wine after 6pm before the buffet. Free wifi in the restaurant... and as our room was... More

We stayed here because we wanted to see turtles and this was half the price of staying at the Ras al-Jinz turtle reserve itself. That's not to say it was that cheap. The Ras al-Jinz turtle reserve alternative itself had the benefits of letting their guests be in the first group sent to view, and having a museum in the... More

A wonderful resort at the beach in the middle of nowhere near Sur in Oman. Although the drive from Sur was longer than expected, the surprise was great. This is holiday: great weather, a cool beer (quite rare in Oman), pretty good food (wide choice buffet) and a priceless view. The rooms are a type of cottages, somewhat small, but... More

While breakfast is just plain, the buffet is the most uninspiring we have seen in years - on top of which you will have to survive the loud and horribly bad live band playing 80's cover tracks (we think!). As a result, the resort manages to empty the otherwise nice bar/restaurant area by 9 PM, which is really too bad.... More

Nice little beach resort, friendly staff good breakfast. Safe swimming & great snorkling on coral reef in shallow water. But the rooms were badly lit, no wifi, no tea making facilities in room, beds were hard. Bathroom pretty basic. The shower had just a curtain & a drain in the floor so the whole bathroom flooded. No shower mat. Generally... More

We stayed in the kingfish room which is en suite with ac. It doesn't have tv. It is made of wood and is covered with raffia to make it look authentic. Bed is clean and comfy... We love Turtle Beach. Why? 1. Good price for Oman. For 45 rials for the room, it is ensuite, clean, with breakfast and buffet... More

Overall stay was good, was extremely happy with the service and friendly staff. We stayed in King Fish room, and it was OK. Food was not up to the level that we expected. Please be aware, if you order food in between, like sandwiches, etc, it will cost a huge money. I can say, 3 people can eat one sandwich... More

This is the first review I think where we have not given a positive review. This is what we liked about the resort: The Hamoor rooms were very good The drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the turtles is only about 20km Very picturesque It serves alcohol What we didn't like: The food. All of it. Buffet dinner had... More

There were three things I especially liked about this place: (1) It's a short drive to the Raz al Jinz Turtle Preserve; (2) The dinner buffet was excellent, including live music. (3) I stayed in one of the primitive turtle huts and enjoyed cool sea breezes blow through the bamboo slats all night long. Very cool and soothing -- although... More
