Stayed in Muscat for a week before driving down here for a night. On first arrival, hotel seemed basic. Our room was quite small especially for 3 people. The room was also very basic with only three beds a small desk, a small TV, fridge and small bathroom with just a toilet, sink and shower. We ate lunch at the... More

Location is good, Food is Good, serves alcohol. Turtle watching was well organised. Food served is a mix of veg and n veg. Alacarte has choice of veg. Beers and other alcoholic drinks are not too expensive.

Oman is at the start of their tourist project and it shows. We could not get info on how to get a bus from Muscat to Sur to stay at the Turtle Beach resort. We ended up paying €200 to get a taxi there and back which when added to the cost of staying the three days there made for... More

We had the simplest option, little bungalow, but it was ok for the overnight. The food was pretty good, and was a wide selection of dishes. They are also serving alcohol, which is not usual in Oman. 20 min drive from turtle watching

Really quite and relaxing with a lovely little beach.. The huts are lovely and clean.. The turtles laying eggs was brilliant. We went to wadi shab first on the way from muscat which breaks up the drive..

Spent a week camping in the south of Oman this week and on the way back from Masirah Island we booked a night at this resort. It is well run with nice and clean rooms a great private beach to swim on and serves a cold beer or wine. Food menu is good but evening buffet is not good. Breakfast... More

I visited the restaurant in this resort in 1st week of April 2015. The food in the resort is fine & they have a reasonably good collection of liquor too. The restaurant is a tad expensive but I suppose that can be attributed to the exclusivity of the resort & the value of the Omani riyal. The restaurant is situated... More

Our experiences and comments based on a stay of one night: Reception: Warmly welcomed by Petra, trainee manager; quick check in and 10 rials asked as deposit for the room key. Room: From the outside, the room we had booked (Royal Hamour sea view) looked like a shack but it was full of surprises inside. Pleasant decor and furnishings. Large,... More

Great place to relax. Rooms vary significantly ..basic IS basic..upgraded rooms are good so worth the extra rials.Staff helpful and polite. We were disappointed we didn't see that they offered water sports and fishing until the end of the stay. Information is in the foyer.Good free wifi.
