Although it says couple, we were here as a couple backpacking so it wasn't anything like a romantic honeymoon! I cannot fault Kuata to be honest. We missed the boat there on the first day and Rachel was more than happy to just change our booking. We arrived there a day late, much to our disappointment as we were a... More

We absolutely loved our time on Kuata. It was by far our favourite island out of the four we visited and would often say 'wish we were back on Kuata' at our two destinations after. The beach dorm was beautiful and so clean. Waking up on the beach was incredible. The food was great and loved the tea and coffee... More

Cannot believe the bad reviews for Barefoot Kuata. Unfortunately only had the opportunity to stay for 2 nights, but it was incredible. The staff were friendly (felt like family! Bula Kuru!!), the shark snorkeling from Rachel was amazing and had some of the best food in Fiji here. There were 7 of us we were greeted on the beach with... More

After many months of planning I finally arrived on Kuata Island, which is part of the Yasawas, to be greeted on the beach by the staff singing their traditional 'Welcome' songs. Everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful and they always had a smile for you and a loud Bula! There are numerous activities that you can enjoy including hiking round... More

Barefoot kuata is the perfect escape. The island has one of the best reefs in the yasawas. You're made to feel welcome the minute you step on shore. The staff are friendly, helpful and funny. It's like being part of a big family as you all eat together and socialise after dinner. The food is delicious, with set meals for... More

I am so grateful for the wonderful experience of a lifetime staying at Kuata island. You grab your snorkel gear and walk from the beach to snorkel in the some of the most beautiful coral reef's I have seen anywhere in the world. Snorkelling with the majestic white tip sharks are a bucket list experience. The island is just like... More

We stayed on Kuata for 2 nights using our Bula Pass and it really was amazing. From the second we arrived the staff couldn't of done more for us, we even got a welcome dance on the beach!! We stayed in the Beach Dorm which was ideal for us, and a lot nicer (and cleaner) than accommodation on other islands... More

Although the private room was nice, clean and modern, it was under furnished with only a bed in it. There wasn't even a small table to put your things on so we had to place everything on the floor. In the bathroom, the shower was barely more than a trickle and the tap wouldn't turn off properly - not what... More

Vinaka Kuata! Myself and partner spent 5 wonderful days on this paradise island. We did the Bula Combo pass and struck gold here! Everyone was so welcoming, nice and always smiling and laughing! Plenty of activities to take part in, from swimming with sharks (100% recommend) to visiting a local school and hiking to the incredible sun set lookout. Meal... More

We cannot understand all the good recommendations for this hotel. The island is not a south sea dream at all. In comparison to the other Yasawa islands this is the most unattractive one regarding the beaches, landscape and staff. Food was served only at specific times and in limited amounts. We were still hungry after the meals. If you come... More

Bula Marianne Thank you for taking the time to let us have your feedback. I am shocked and saddened to hear how disappointed you are following your stay at our island. Barefoot Kuata is an eco-lodge run by seasoned hospitality and dive professionals and the friendliest locals around. We pride ourselves on managing it simply and sustainably but we do... More
