I stayed here for two nights with my partner. Firstly, I will say that the location is fantastic, the snorkelling is beautiful and jumping off the pontoon was great. The accommodation was a little "rustic" but okay nonetheless. The water pressure in the shower was terrible, however, they are trying to conserve water so that is understandable. Lunch and dinner... We spent 7 nights at Botaira and had such an amazing time. We spent our days learning to paddle board, snorkelling, jumping off the floating pontoon, kayaking around to the next bay/private beach, hiking up the ridge, reading in hammocks and drinking cocktails. All of the staff were extremely friendly, especially Kally and Illy. They took us on a couple... More

Botaira is a little resort in a bay facing westwards into the Pacific. It doesn't have a lot of bures, and it's very quiet. We were greeted with flower necklaces and everyone was very polite and glad to meet us. The bure was very spacious, but it wasn't really better than other places where it's been smaller, most of it... More

I was lucky enough to stay at the Botaira Resort for a few days during the beginning of my college study abroad experience. My study abroad group stopped off at Fiji for a few days before we made our way to New Zealand. Botaira was certainly a highlight of the trip. When we arrived, I was amazed by the feeling... More

We booked an island hopping holiday so we only got to stay at botaira for two nights. I had read the reviews before we left so I wasn't expecting too much just the real feel of Fiji. We were made to feel so welcome the staff make up for what is lacking in facilities. If you want air conditioning stay... More

First of all I just want to point out that we knew that it was a little rustic before we went and we have stayed in a lot of rustic places and have enjoyed our stay. All of the islands are amazing and wonderful! They had great food and the staff were very accomodating and we had an enjoyable time,... More

Hi Sue & Tom Thank you so much for taking the time to add the review about your stay at Botaira Resort. We were glad to hear you had a great stay but horrified to learn of the stealing. I have investigated the stealing - but have not found a link. I specifically questioned the 17 year old whom I'm... More

This resort is amazing, yes of course, it is situated in paradise with top snorkling reef beach front. It has all the things you expect from a Fiji resort. But, what really makes this an amazing place that rests deep in my heart is the staff. They live in the village 40 minutes walk from Botaira and we had the... More

If you are visiting the fiji islands go to Botaira. The staff where extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay better. I liked the food as well, but the highlight was getting the unique fiji experience from the staff. We had a kava ceremony one night and carli took us on a hike to see the... More

I just left Botaira Beach Resort 3 days ago and already feel like I wanna go back there…that's how much I loved it. Beautiful and different in every aspect, it feels more like a family; it draws you back to nature, it calms you, it nourishes you and it teaches you 'the luxury of simplicity'. I have a few main points. They put us in the room below the one we booked and paid for. They were quite helpful and we swapped rooms after the first night. What we saw of the snorkelling it was great. They have a giant clam farm but we didn't swim out to see it. However I would recommend bringing... More
