We stayed 3 nights in a beachfront bure and had such a fantastic time. The bathroom was a little tired but to be honest, how much time are you spending in your bure when you have the beach right there at your doorstep? Water in the bure was salty during the day but between 4pm to 9am fresh water flowed... More

So much depends on why you come here - whether for simple relaxation or filling your days with activities. For many, it is the epitome of a perfect island holiday - just relaxing, no frills or high rise hotels, just lazing on the beach. And even better when you can experience the wonderful sunsets. Yes, it does deliver all these... More

I just spent 7 nights at this fabulous place with my Mum and Aunty (girls relaxing getaway).... We had Bure 4 which is Oceanfront and it was absolutely perfect for us. :-) We had researched this place before we went so we knew it would suit us but the staff and other guests made it even more perfect and extremely... There is truly nothing to worry about on Botaira We stayed for 10 whole days and nights and I wish we could have stayed forever. If you have an electronics addiction...this is the perfect detox. Say goodbye to phone calls, facebook, television and stress, you quickly realise you don't need ANY of it on Botaira. You don't need to go... More

We read all about the quiet and relaxing Botaira resort. But what a shock when a day in our 7 day stay 40 American students arrived and took the resort over. There was no manager present to organize meals or activities. The resort was not prepared for this onslaught. At breakfast they run of everything after a few minutes, glasses,... More

If you want 5-star amenities, with a spa, pool, golf-course, Master-chef quality food etc. this is not your resort. However, if you want a quiet resort, staff who treat you with respect (and who randomly pick up guitars and start singing in harmony) and with genuine kindness and friendliness, a stunning environment with a home reef that is a marine... My recent stay at Botaira was very enjoyable. It is a very relaxing and quiet resort with a wonderful reef for snorkeling. The room was quite comfortable as well. There's a small Fijian village on the other side of the hill worth checking out (look up sosostays.com). Very friendly and happy people!

Botaira is a much more laid-back experience than other resorts in the Mamanucas and Yasawas; it's not right for those looking for a super-lively social scene and non-stop organized activities, but for those who want a change from the constant party atmosphere on other islands and just want to relax in a spectacular natural context, it is a bit of... We have been many, many times to beautiful Botaira and I must admit I find the differing opinions of Botaira hard to fathom. Thankfully positives are more numerous than the few disgruntled visitors. We all have different expectations. It seems length of stay and age is a factor. Some younger travelers seem, to expect far more than the the older... More

We have been to Fiji many times before. Botaira Resort in the Yasawa Islands has some of the most spectacular scenery, reefs and clear water for swimming that we have experienced. Many other islands have runoff (like Denarau) with murky water as a result The temperature of the water and the air is just perfect. Snorkelling is right off the... More
