I stayed at barefoot island to kick off my Yasawa Island trip. I was staying in a double bure on the sunrise side of the island which was beautiful. Your door opens to a view of Palm trees and beach and fantastic snorkelling right off the beach. Rooms very basic and terribly overpriced for what you get, just a bed... More

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Barefoot at the start of July and loved so much about it! The whole island is stunning and set out so perfectly. There's the sweetest pathways winding through the resort that are well taken care of and raked so you really can be barefoot the whole time! We even walked comfortably to... More

When we just arrived I thought the place was a bit rough and 'backpackery', permanent tent and roaches falling in your head from palm trees in the outdoor bathroom haha:) but! The place is super warm, staff are exceptional and friendly, they remember your name straight away. Joey and Bio are absolute legends! Location of the place is awesome, wanted... More

Stayed 5 nights in the tented Bures on sunset beach and were very happy. Swimming with the manta rays was special and very easy given that Barefoot is right on the famous Manta channel. The snorkelling was excellent and the view from the top of the hill (a short hike to the top) is definitely worthwhile for the fantastic views.... More

I stayed on barefoot island for 10 days, so I feel my review is a reliable one! I spent hours researching all the islands, trying to find the best one that wasn't too expensive, lots to do and had a friendly home feel, so I went for barefoot! So glad I did, I met lots of backpackers doing the island... More

Spent 4 nights here in the ensuite tented Bures #15. As this looked more like a backpackers Island I wondered how my wife and I in our 60's would fit in with rather basic facilities. Our room (premium Bure Tent had a ensuite bathroom, shower (only cold water though) and toilet and mesh windows all round to keep out the... More

Ok going to these places you expect to encounter some sort of wildlife but you don't want to share the bedroom with them - the place seems overrun with rats and little / nothing being done to control them - and if they were in my room they were in the kitchen. The location is great and the floating past... More

We spent 4 nights in May here in order to go snorkelling with mantas, which we lucky enough to do on every day! We stayed in the premium bures, which are located on sunset beach. They are like a permanent tent, with zip up windows and door, and it's lovely to lay in your bed, on your porch or in... More

This is just an overpriced resort, the value is not good, but I guess it´s all Fiji like that. That you have to pay a lot for something and what you get back just doesn´t correspond with the high prices. The island itself is really nice with 3 beaches and very beautiful snorkelling. It was the thing that we liked... More
