I stayed in a premium ensuite bure as well as a shared bure. The private ones are absolutely worth it. The insides are luxurious and face the absolutely stunning lagoon. Having your own private bathroom and outdoor shower was amazing. Staff was so warm and friendly, I had new friends within days. I also thought the food was always quite... More

We are a family of 5 with kids aged 13,13 and 15 and spent 3 nights at barefoot. My wife and myself had an ensuite "tent" and the 3 kids were in a 3 bed dorm. The ensuite tent was very comfortable with big fly screened windows and doors and a great outdoor shower and toilet. It has a concrete... More

Barefoot Island was a dream-relaxing, chilled and beautiful. Its like 5 star camping-all you need but no unnecessary first world crap.Staff were great, accommodation, clean and comfortable-definitely worth paying the extra for ensuite if you can afford it-if you cant the shared facilities were clean and no queueing. Food was fine. Swimming with the Manta rays was awesome. Will definitely... More

Staff and service was excellent, our premium bure was nice, clean, tidy, only what surprised us was that it was maid of tent, which at the end was nice as we had fresh air, stunning sunset views and own bathroom. Swimming with Manta ray is just amazing. Food provided as full board was actually tasty!

Anyone looking for a fantastic authentic Fijian experience, you must go to Barefoot Island Resort. The second we stepped of the boat we were greeted by the warm hearts of lovely local Fijians. The people made the trip and we loved being immersed in the nature of Fiji. We swam with Manta rays which was unreal and snorkelled along beautifully... More

Our first resort during our Fiji tour, it was unsane to hear the roar of the ocean all night long, but you get pretty quick used to it, what we liked is that it is basic but genuine and real, it lets you really taste the wild nature of Yaskawa islands and the staff, like all the Fijians, are so... I stayed at barefoot island to kick off my Yasawa Island trip. I was staying in a double bure on the sunrise side of the island which was beautiful. Your door opens to a view of Palm trees and beach and fantastic snorkelling right off the beach. Rooms very basic and terribly overpriced for what you get, just a bed... More

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Barefoot at the start of July and loved so much about it! The whole island is stunning and set out so perfectly. There's the sweetest pathways winding through the resort that are well taken care of and raked so you really can be barefoot the whole time! We even walked comfortably to... More

When we just arrived I thought the place was a bit rough and 'backpackery', permanent tent and roaches falling in your head from palm trees in the outdoor bathroom haha:) but! The place is super warm, staff are exceptional and friendly, they remember your name straight away. Joey and Bio are absolute legends! Location of the place is awesome, wanted... More
