We recently stayed on Octopus Island and were really looking forward to the stay. We booked this weekend away to take our parents on a lovely Fijian island escape. Firstly, we cannot complain about the food as it was lovely each and every meal! Unfortunately, the positivity stops at the food. We booked a room in poppys and point view..... More

From the welcome songs on the beach as you get off the boat, to the luxury accommodation and the fantastic snorkelling straight off the beach, you can't get much better. Being backpackers, it was amazing to have single beds instead of bunks, beach and bath towels provided plus not having to make you own beds! However, even if I wasn't... More

Had an amazing stay at Octopus resort with 5 friends. Booked for 2 nights, stayed 4nights. The food was incredible, buffet breakfast had so much choice, menu choice for lunch and varied dinners. We were staying in a dorm room which was very clean and excellent value. They were cleaned daily and had good showers and toilet blocks next to... More

Just got back to New Zealand and I want to go back already!!! I absolutely loved our week long holiday here. We went in mid May and I could not have enjoyed myself more! From the beautiful beach to the plentiful sea life below the surface. The reef (best snorkelling spot) is literally feet from the resort. MUST DO's Mountain... More

We stayed 4 nights and were well fed and cared for the entire time. Our bure (#13) had a great ocean view. Interestingly, we had no outside deck or chairs to really enjoy it, and the neighboring bure had a beautiful deck and chairs with a view of the bure in front of it. Every morning we returned from breakfast... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in March in a garden bure. - the bure was clean and well maintained. The bed had a large mosquito net attached to it so you felt safe from any bugs. The outdoor shower was amazing! - the resort itself was great. So peaceful and because it's small never felt crowded. Always had a... More

This was our second visit to Octopus and it has maintained the high standard we remembered. As others have written it is a stunning location, with great food, beautiful easily accessible coral and comfortable accommodation in Poppy's. Our bags were delayed at Sydney airport and we arrived at Octopus in little more than the clothes we stood in. Cezare, the General... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in Mar, 2014. Our first room, a garden bure, was a bit noisy as they were building a new one right beside it. They upgraded us to the nicest room on the island, such a treat! The people were all very friendly, very laid back atmosphere, yo could lay on a quiet beach or... More

Warm welcome by the manager and staff in nice common facilities. The manager Cezare was very friendly and also carried our bags himself to our bure. We stayed in Poppy Bure and really enjoyed our five days. Good shade in hammock and on the beach. Food. Very good and tasty allways served by friendly staff. General service was very good... More

Octopus Resort, sister to the Blue Lagoon Resort, features just about the same food and activities, meaning it's wonderful too. The structures at Octopus are more like burres, and the coral that's right off Octopus is healthier. I personally prefer the accommodations at Blue Lagoon, which are more spacious and less rustic. But the condition of the coral was sad.... More
