Ah the Skelligs charm! I have stayed with Frida in her hostel 4 times now. Each and every time has been really enjoyable. The beach is a 5 minute walk, another 3 minutes and you come to Cable O'Learys where we ate every evening. The hostel itself is lovely. Really fresh, modern and clean. Frida the owner is the most... It is a great hostel and lovely place to stay. The surronding are awesome! It is the best hostel that I have never been. The staff are lovely and friendly. And this hostel offers a complete kitchen and living room to share with the others costumers.

Stayed there in August-2014. Just a perfect place for those who plan to enjoy Ballinskelligs / Glen region. Everything is wonderful: room, shower/toilet, kitchen, cleanliness, price/quality. Washing = 8 euro per machine, much better than to spend precious time for washing in such a wonderful place. Frida (owner) is really VERY friendly. Beach (with castle and abbey) is only 700-800... Excellent hostel type accommodation. Staff were lovely and VERY accommodating despite our late arrival. Rooms are simple, clean and very comfortable. Basics are catered for and free WiFi is a bonus. Port Magee is a small fishing town closest to Skellig Michel, a UNESCO world heritage site. This hostel is perfect for a one-night budget stay whilst traveling through.

This is such a great place! The owner is so sweet and welcoming. The location is amazing, and the scenery unbelievable. This is paradise. The beach is near, as is the pub. The closest store is a bit further away, but when the weather permits, the walk is totally worth it! We will most certainly be back. The hostel itself... More

We were checked in by Freda who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We had an ensuite room and it was very clean and comfortable. No TV but we wanted a cheap base for our stay and this was very good value for money. Close to the harbour where we took a boat trip to Skellig Michael. Kitchen... More
