awful place unless you’re a backpacker, steer well clear if you a discerning b&b visitor as this will not be for you, members of staff standing around smoking, walls are paper thin, no breakfast provided but kitchen available to make your own. Shared TV room also available. Definitely better places to stay in Ballinskelligs which is a wonderful place to... More

I only spend one night here, but the hostel was excellent. We arrived late, but that was no problem. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and warm as we went there in early spring and the weather was still on the cooler side. The owner is a sweet and friendly lady. The kitchen is roomy and spotless and has everything... More

I've stayed in this hostel 4 times in the last 5 years and will be retuning this summer. It's probably the best one I've ever stayed in. It's in a fantastic location, only 10 minutes walk from the beach, and 20 from the nearest bar/restaurant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a surprisingly strong internet connection all throughout... More

A really laid-back hostel where the coming and going was no hassle. The room was spotless and nicely decorated, the common area and kitchen are very well kitted and looked after. The welcome is second to none and the location is brilliant. A stroll from the beach and a pub where the locals couldn't have been friendlier. Wifi is available... More

Ah the Skelligs charm! I have stayed with Frida in her hostel 4 times now. Each and every time has been really enjoyable. The beach is a 5 minute walk, another 3 minutes and you come to Cable O'Learys where we ate every evening. The hostel itself is lovely. Really fresh, modern and clean. Frida the owner is the most... It is a great hostel and lovely place to stay. The surronding are awesome! It is the best hostel that I have never been. The staff are lovely and friendly. And this hostel offers a complete kitchen and living room to share with the others costumers.

Stayed there in August-2014. Just a perfect place for those who plan to enjoy Ballinskelligs / Glen region. Everything is wonderful: room, shower/toilet, kitchen, cleanliness, price/quality. Washing = 8 euro per machine, much better than to spend precious time for washing in such a wonderful place. Frida (owner) is really VERY friendly. Beach (with castle and abbey) is only 700-800... Excellent hostel type accommodation. Staff were lovely and VERY accommodating despite our late arrival. Rooms are simple, clean and very comfortable. Basics are catered for and free WiFi is a bonus. Port Magee is a small fishing town closest to Skellig Michel, a UNESCO world heritage site. This hostel is perfect for a one-night budget stay whilst traveling through.

This is such a great place! The owner is so sweet and welcoming. The location is amazing, and the scenery unbelievable. This is paradise. The beach is near, as is the pub. The closest store is a bit further away, but when the weather permits, the walk is totally worth it! We will most certainly be back. The hostel itself... More
