Stayed in Haggart Lodge for one night after staying there last year on our annual trip to Knock. We were looking forward to meeting Maeve and her family again especially the adorable Jason! It really was like visiting friends and my daughter couldn't wait for her pancakes for breakfast! After travelling from Cork Maeve provided us with a most welcome... More

Beautiful B&B just outside the village. Large rooms compared to other places we had stayed at. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Our host Maeve was a very warm, friendly and helpful person from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was superb. We stayed at 12 B&Bs during our two week trip of Ireland and Haggart Lodge was definitely the best. Thanks Maeve

We choose this from a highly recommend review, and found it to be exactly as described, 1st class B & B, but I would say H From H, definitely HOME FROM HOME, from the minute we were greeted by the wonderful Lady of the house Maeve. To the minute she waved us bye bye, it was 1st class our room... More

We stayed for a 2 night break, the first time ive visited Ireland. A lovely b&b in the middle of nowhere, yet plenty to do if you want it. Local pub only mins away and plenty of nice walks. The bedroom was much bigger than previous places I have stayed in, airy and light with views over fields. The Irish... More

We staid only for a night but they make feel as comfortable as at home, charming place in the country side and charming people as well! They gave us great advice to arrange next steps in our trip. Also, they prepared tasty hot whisky for us that was very helpful for sleeping like a baby. Ah, they cook a lovely... More

Super friendly! Felt like going to grandmothers house as a child. Get the pancakes with fruit topping it was so good it was sexual! We only stayed for a night but would recommend to anyone. They were great with shopping and eating recommendations as well as tips for our itinerary.

Perfect from the get-go with really lovely owners who value their guests :) stayed here with my father and sister and they too had no complaints. I only wish we had stayed here longer as it really is a nice, cosy place with a beautiful country view

We were given a warm reception from the moment we arrived. The owner even went to the trouble to carry my very heavy Samsonite suitcase up the stairs which was very kind of her. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely atmosphere and she had clearly gone to a lot of trouble. Maeve the owner bought us up... More

Had an extended stay in Aclare visiting family and friends. Haggart Lodge had such a brilliant write-up on trip advisor that we decided to give it a try. The reviews were spot on, from the warm welcome and hospitality of Maeve, Donal & Maureen to the spotliness of the rooms. The Irish breakfasts were huge and delicious. Maeve couldn’t do... More
