Stopped here on a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way. It was our first time in Liscannor and having read some good reviews of the Anchor Inn, we decided to book bed & breakfast and dinner on arrival. This is such a charming establishment, traditional bar, beautifully renovated rooms with the most comfortable beds ever. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner... More

Have liked this place for years and travelled back on a leisurely Sunday afternoon with the family. The tables outside were too tightly packed together & the staff were sooooo unhelpful. We had to go inside to order our own food, at which point we had to pay a gruff barman before anything was brought to the table. Service was... More

The food is good- I'm not denying it. It is always nice to have fresh seafood, but does it really need to be this expensive. I used to recommend it to everyone, but I don't know anymore. I loved it when it was a simple pub and you could sit outside with a huge bowl of mussels and know you... More

We read a good review in our travel book of this establishment and so went to see for ourselves. It has a real Irish charm, being a shop/pub/B&B/restaurant. The rooms are cosy but so well appointed, with memory foam toppers on the beds, so it's gets our best bed in Ireland award! The bathrooms are also lovely. We loved the... More

The room may have needed a bit of re-furbishment but in a two week holiday in Ireland it was the best nights sleep ! We had an evening meal and breakfast, both were excellent, really good food, well prepared by the chef

Not if I was to starve on the pavement outside will I darken the door of Vaughan's again. We had a dinner booking for 5 people last night. At the last minute an extra friend joined us unexpectedly. The reaction of the maître d Suzanne was incredible. Stock refusal to add a chair to our table- "not happening lads" and... More

Recently renovated and tastefully decorated ensuite rooms in this quiet pub/restaurant/inn in Liscannor, near the Cliffs of Moher. We planned on dining there on the recommendations of Irish friends from U.S. and changed reservations to stay over, too. Very reasonably priced for board and breakfast. The famous chef prepared a grilled lobster that was easily the best meal I have... More

The food... Wow. Creative and flavourful cooking using only the best ingredients. Dinner was amazing as was to be expected from a kitchen with their reputation (the black pudding starter was sublime and the small seafood platter was plenty for two). Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic; I don't know where they source their pork but the smoked bacon... More

Had lunch here at the B/H weekend and as ever the food was lovely and the (very busy) staff were welcoming and naturally friendly. This is really a gem and one that should be revisited at regular intervals. Top marks again

I could not fault our stay. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the food and service received during our stay. The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to go back.
