I stayed here as a part of a two day trip from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. Unlike the previous poster, I thought the trip organised by African Extravaganza was very good value at NAM$7000 each. Particularly since there were only two of us, and we paid the rate appropriate for a larger group. We actually dealt with Sense of Africa to... More

I booked a "4-day" tour from African Extravaganza (the owner of Naumkluft Lodge) to Sossusvlei and Naumkluft lodge with their tour guide Gregory. I paid a stiff price, nearly N$ 11 000 for it. However, while landscapes and animals were well worth seeing and memorable, the overall cost/value relationship of this trip is poor. For what it offered, and particularly... More

Twin beds for couples without double bed options got tiring very quickly in Namibia. The staff was overall friendly but not very accommodating. When staying here there were 2 guides in the soft camp and a single and two double rooms inckuding ourselves. This totals 7 guests, which is fairly empty. We were disappointed that during he slow season the... More

To be frank,it seemed some state-owned place the waitress were not warm and proactive, Twin beds room but we were given glass and bath towel in odd number!Besides,it was quite far away from Sossusvlei,we had to wake up at 0430 AM to catch the sunrise, and seemed not easy to visit it again to see the sunset, unless you spend all... Only 2 stars as they mixed up our booking and stuck us down in soft adventure camp (we were given multiple room keys and told to check if they were clean / made up) - not a great first impression for our honeymoon stay!

Lodge rooms were large and very clean with air con. Food was superb. Views amazing. Pool very welcome. Free wifi. Only thing missing would be complimentary shampoo etc. An hours drive from Sossulvei but everyone comes by car so no problem. Very chilled and relaxing 3 nights stay.

Despite the fantastic landscape at Namib Naukluft Lodge, I would have preferred to stay closer to Sossusvlei. You might choose differently, however. First the good news. The Namib Naukluft Lodge, set on a private reserve, is beautifully situated to admire stunning views of this vast desert plain and its romantic rocky outcroppings. The main lodge, with rooms starkly arranged in... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during our 2 1/2 week Namibia adventure. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The room was quiet and comfortable and, while not lavish, it was quite nice and suited us perfectly. We found the food to be very good. Each room has a nice porch/patio at the rear & it was a... We stayed at the Namib Naukluft Lodges and were not very impressed. The rooms are old and poorly lit with almost no wall plugs, one of the lamps were broken and the bed was full of sand. The food was ok but not the best and the staff were not dressed in uniform that served us for dinner. It did... More

1st it's remote to any other major cities, but an excellence accommodation for visiting sossusvlei. there is an excellent view from the top of the hill behind the lodge, need good hiking shoes to get up there. the breakfast and lunch was average, but the BBQ (Braai) dinner was excellent, especially the onyx steak. watch out for a lot of...
