A splendid location, gentle staff, great food. The visit to the red dunes was marvellous, an unique experience! There is no wi-fi in the hotel, only a desktop in the lobby. There are no air conditioning in the rooms - terrible at this time of the year. There are activities for only a full day, so the better is to... More

Dear fthedy, Thank you for your fabulous review, we are delighted to hear you had such an enjoyable time with us. In our conservation efforts almost all are camps run on solar power, Kulala Desert's power is provided by a hybrid system, combining solar energy and a diesel powered generator. Thanks to the solar energy the generator only needs to... More

This lodge is nicely appointed and the staff is friendly and efficient. The food is great. The cabins are clean, safe and well maintained. Same for the little swimming / wading pool. They give you free water bottles with free fillups. OK - now what is the caveat? If you have your own vehicle and the goal is to optimize... More

Thank you DennisUSA for your fabulous review, we are sorry to hear the outing to the Dunes did not live up to your expectations and you were not given full information on this activity. Unfortunately The Dunes - Big Daddy and Dead Vlei etc. - fall within a National Park and therefore close their gates at sunset and only reopen... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on our very first trip to Namibia, and it was a wonrderful start - the lodge is like the rest of Namibia - full of friendly, fun-loving friendly people who did their best to ensure that we saw and enjoyed the best of in this case the marvellous desert of Namib - specifically Soussusvfei. It... More

Thank you Eva L for you wonderful review, we are delighted to see you had such a great stay with us. The climate is typically semi-desert with hot days and cool nights. The cold Benguela Current keeps the coast cool and free of rain most of the year, Namibia averages 300 days of sunshine a year. Midsummer temperatures may rise... More

This was the first of four Wilderness Camps in which we stayed during our time in Namibia and a great introduction. The camp is situated about 14km off the main road, giving it the advantage of being closer to the dunes than other camps and having its own private gate, a real bonus. Our arrival was greeted with cold towels... More

Thank you heb999, We are delighted to hear you had such an enjoyable stay with and and just sorry to hear it ended on a somewhat sour note. We have brought this to the attention of our Service Manager who will be addressing this with the staff reminding them that this is unacceptable behaviour. We are relieved though that the... More

Just got back and am totally in love! The lodge is run so well, environmentally friendly, comfy and cosy, perfect position, it could not get better. Ideal to explore the Dunes and Sesriem and ideal to sit on the deck and watch the gemsbok wander by. Very good service, Namibians are so friendly. Food was good given how remote this... More

Thank you Sandi c, We are delighted to see you had such a great stay with us and enjoyed your time spent on the veranda. I stayed here for 4 nights last November. It's an ideal location. Situated on its own in the desert. It has a quick access to the road to the dunes as it is within the national park. You have to make use of the lodges vehicle though. You cannot take your own car the short route. I took the dunes... More

Stayed at this lodge in March 2014. It is hot and windy but you will welcome the afternoon winds while sitting out on their lovely deck enjoying a cocktail. They also have a very nice pool and lounging area The views are spectacular. I would watch the ostrich meander in the distance while flipping through one of the many books... More

Thank you DianeKim0429, what a delight to be exploring this amazing area alone, must have been a thrilling experience.
