Beautifull setting, Excellent food, everything was freshly prepared, lunch packs for day trips are provided. Friendly staff. Stunning views from every room and the dining/bar area. Close to the famous sites of Sossusvlei...... and cold yagermeister - cant ask for more than that.

Stayed at Moon Mountain lodge April 2015, and couldn't recommend it higher. We used Moon Mountain lodge as our chill time around Sossusvlei. The dunes and canyon are spectacular and deserve every bit of the international tourism attention they get (even if it would be nice to keep them to yourself), but the whole area around Sossusvlei is simply stunning... We absolutely adore MML... Not only for the beautiful views, moon-sets, and sunscapes, the stunning and cool tented accommodation, and absolutely unreally good food (including wildebeest, oryx, beef fillet, moroccan soup, fresh vegetables, and omelettes) ... But also for the incredible hospitality from each and every member of staff. The chef even drove down to fetch us with 4x4. It's... More

Moon Mountain is about 50mins outside of the Sosussvlei park, but SO worth it. The other places nearer just don't compare, and the early morning drive (to make it to the dunes for sunrise) is lovely and atmospheric anyway. The lodge must have one of the most breathtaking views in namibia - both from the stunning restaurant/bar area (sundowners whilst... More

what an amazing place. After a very long drive through the Kalahari desert we were greeted with ice cold towels and refreshments. The staff carried our bags to our rooms and explained everything we needed to know in such a lovely way. After unpacking we enjoyed a swim in our very own splash pool. Lunch was excellent as was dinner.... More

It is around 50Km away from the desert but totally worth it. IMO it is SO much better than the lodges by the park. Food and service are excellent, and the views out of this world. You need a 4x4 car to get to the top of hill where the lodge sits, but you can be picked at the bottom... More

We stayed 3 nights in lodge 31. Probably the best for total privacy and unobstructed sunrise viewing. Beds were very very comfortable with quality linen, pillows, towels etc. You have your own small dip-pool. Also a wooden terrace for watching Oryx etc. Alexa the resident chef manager, cooked sublime evening meals. All staff where very attentive. A wonderful experience and... More

We stayed two nights in the Moon Mountain Lodge. We had an amazing time. The staff is very very friendly and attentive. Also the food was superb (they have an excellent chef)!!!!!! Additionally the “tents” are beautiful and the views have no price (and every “tent has a private pool!!!). Best Sunset ever in the desert!!! Totally recommendable.

The lodge is located on a hill overlooking several directions of savanna area. The 'rooms' are made of wood and local materials and covered with canvas and the rooms we stayed in had a little dip pool too and a separated bathroom connected to the room with a small bridge. The staff was at all times very helpful and in... More

Moon Mountain Lodge. Sorry to say that this place didn’t live up to our expectations. No real hearty welcome, actually a big question mark to our reservation - which we could prove with all our papers – and on top - the next day a long discussion about the same matter and now with a crave about full new payment...
