No internet service. No electricity for several hours in the middle of the night. Mattress was very hard, urine stains and bed bugs all over the bedroom. No screens. All other "villas" (I should say cottages) in terrible shape. We had to leave by our fourth night. The refrigerator stopped working and thousands of aunts invaded the unit. Will provide... More

Wonderful view but beyond that, it leaves a lot to be desired. We stayed in the "candlelight" unit and it is in need of some repair and upgrades. The windows are jalousie style and a lot of the window slats have been broken out. There is AC in the bedroom only (window unit) and you have to leave the bedroom... More

We've stayed in the Captain's Villa twice - November 2009 and 2010. Personally 2009 far exceeded 2010, but with a only a few minor details making the difference. In 2009, there was an on site manager. We were able to use the phone for dinner reservations and use the internet in the office as we needed. For the 2010 trip,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Captains Villa for our honeymoon. We picked the location based solely on the websites descripton, hoping it was within walking distance to the beach. When we arrived we were astounded at the view, our villa actually had its own path to the beach. The price was amazing for the location and the staff... More

Perlican Isle Villas should be a 5 rating and just a little attention to detail would make it so. There is so much to like about it and without a question I will be back in the future. First off as other reviewers have said the location is unbelievable. You are perched on a point between two very different beaches,... More

Pelican Isle is a hidden gem with the best views on Antigua. Its location is down a nearly hidden driveway to a hillside peninsula adjacent to two beaches. Turner’s beach is considered one of the island’s best swimming beaches. The 200 degree view from my villa is a photographer’s dream…inspiring sunrises and sunsets as well as the changing colors of... Superb location at Johnson's Point on the attractive south-west coast with fine sunsets over Montserrat. The two-bedroomed Captain's Villa has a huge garden with a large shade tree and a 180-degree view of the Caribbean. The outdoor breakfast table, where bullfinches and bananaquits come for crumbs, has a lovely view of Turner's Beach. The Captain's Villa has been much improved since... More

We just returned from a week at the Pelican Isle Villas at Turner Beach. Some observations: Pelican Isle Villas: Perfect for our family. On a low bluff, directly on the water. 2BR (1D 2S), kitchen, spacious but starkly furnished living room, daily maid service. Only the bedrooms were air conditioned, but that was fine. We stayed in the Captain’s Villa,... More

If you want a self-catering holiday in a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic sea views then Pelican Isle may be the ideal stop for you. Set on a small promontory on the south west of Antigua the accommodation is clean and comfortable; Michael, the on-site manager, is very friendly and helpful (but not intrusive); and the location and views are superb...
