great location, the room is big enough and very clean. Breakfast is ok. Very nice swimming pool. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is only 10 minutes drive from the airport. Nice place to stay. I will definitely return.

The best thing about the hotel is it's location and being by the beach. It doesn't have a lift which made it tiring going up and down the stairs, our biggest bad point was our air con unit was outside on the balcony which blew out hot air, too hot you couldn't stand outside for too long, although it was... After wading through heaps of reviews on various properties I think we chose well. Thien Hai Son is perhaps a little stiff and formal in many ways, but the VIP room we had which was not more than 50 metres from the beach made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. The bungalow had two separate rooms – a living room and... More

We had a stand alone bungalow just off the beach. Acess was thus very easy. The hotel provide beach towels and a beach waiter service. Unfortunately one night the beach restaurant played a band at such a high distorted sound level is was beyond funny. Were they sending karaoke signals back to Russia? Apart from that ridiculously loud evening, the... More

Our family of five (three children - 8, 6, and 2) spent five nights here in January. In researching this hotel, I remember one review saying something like "it grows on you". That is exactly the case - it's a unique hotel (Soviet era, I believe) and was a very good place for our family. In comparison to the other... More

Visited with 15 friends, everyone stayed in different rooms, in the hotel, VIP rooms and the beach front bungalows. Breakfast is good, a large variety of food, local and western. There is a nightly fish barbecue on the beach, which was a bit hectic when we ate there, but that may our fault, but the staff were wonderful. All rooms... More

Ideally situated right on a beautiful palm fringed beach with crystal clear, calm sea. Plenty of sun beds with padded mattress. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms overlooking the pool. Bit dated, but very clean. Has everything you could need .. Hairdrier, kettle and tea, coffee, mineral water restocked daily, we were also impressed that there was fresh... More

Beautiful outdoor garden, pool, beach but the inside of the bungalows are very dated and substandard. The beds are very hard and the room very dark. Old bathrooms from the 70s need a good update. The resort's beach is stunning and conveniently located near the town and market. I would still recommend the resort if you are not looking for... More

This hotel is a huge disappointment and not what I expected. I have traveled throughout many parts of Asia and I have never experienced such poor customer service as I have at the Thien Hai Son. The lack of english is not even the primary problem. The staff have no clue how to help you find specific landmarks or restaurants.... More

with value of the cost of staying, this hotel is good hotel for couples, families too. not new hotel but their service are fine and you should not feel stressed about their less ability to understand in English , you need to try with body languages, point out menus by finger , anyway, it is not big issue for me....
