Visited with 15 friends, everyone stayed in different rooms, in the hotel, VIP rooms and the beach front bungalows. Breakfast is good, a large variety of food, local and western. There is a nightly fish barbecue on the beach, which was a bit hectic when we ate there, but that may our fault, but the staff were wonderful. All rooms... More

Ideally situated right on a beautiful palm fringed beach with crystal clear, calm sea. Plenty of sun beds with padded mattress. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms overlooking the pool. Bit dated, but very clean. Has everything you could need .. Hairdrier, kettle and tea, coffee, mineral water restocked daily, we were also impressed that there was fresh... More

Beautiful outdoor garden, pool, beach but the inside of the bungalows are very dated and substandard. The beds are very hard and the room very dark. Old bathrooms from the 70s need a good update. The resort's beach is stunning and conveniently located near the town and market. I would still recommend the resort if you are not looking for... More

This hotel is a huge disappointment and not what I expected. I have traveled throughout many parts of Asia and I have never experienced such poor customer service as I have at the Thien Hai Son. The lack of english is not even the primary problem. The staff have no clue how to help you find specific landmarks or restaurants.... More

with value of the cost of staying, this hotel is good hotel for couples, families too. not new hotel but their service are fine and you should not feel stressed about their less ability to understand in English , you need to try with body languages, point out menus by finger , anyway, it is not big issue for me.... Engaging and helpful staff. English is spoken widely here. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Loved the extra large pool. Rooms were clean, good size with cable tv and good amenities. Breakfast was good and offered many choices. The beach was clean and was set with tables for dinning waterside. Didn't eat here much as food was great all over... More

We spent 4 nights at Thien Hai Son on Phu Quoc. Firstly, we didn't realise that there was a complimentary pick up from the airport, so got a taxi. A bit annoying, but it was only about 10 mins away, so under the equivalent of £1, so not worth worrying about. (Just mentioned for the benefit of others who miss... More

Stayed there for 2 nights, in a front beach bungalow. The room is big, especially the spacious toilet & bathroom. staff are friendly and attentive. They let us stay for 4 more hours in a reserve room without charging (our plane had delayed unexpectedly). Located just 800m away from the night market, which is easily walked for children. Have their... More

Thien hai son resort were average hotel and maybe little over prised. We stayed in one of the bungalows near the beach. Bungalows were nice but quite dated. The bed wasn't that good. The beach, pool and location were best things in this hotel. Breakfast was ok. The staff could be happier and more cheerful, although some of the staff... More

Phu Quoc is a delightful little pearl. More like a string of villages with no real central hub. Food very much in a Vietnamese style but some restaurants do some Western food. Thien Hai San was our accommodation of choice and have no regrets. Rooms clean and cool and very roomy with everything we needed provided. The swimming pool was... More
