I spent a week at the house this summer (2014), together with my family, parents and siblings with kids and spouses, all in all 15 people. It is an old house, with all those litte features that old houses tend to display, some creaky stairs, a few cracks in the floor tiles and some other things that you wont find... More

Dear Mathias, was a pleasure to have you as our guests, your beautiful parents were very good at forming a family like yours. Offer a pizza in the middle of the night is part of the magic of Fornacina. I know you will come back, and I'll be happy to see you again. More

I planned for this trip several months in advance and I did plenty of research before choosing this house, by the way I'm Italian living in the US now for a few years. I travel a lot around the world for business, so I'm not new to this. What the photos and video shows on their website is not even... More

I will also place this review under the other name listed here in Tripadvisor: "La Fornaccina". Pictures are included! I do not know where to begin so let me start with the positive since there is only 1- the views....finito! The house is listed as a rustic farmhouse with ALL the amenities of a hotel. Let me begin by stating... More

We’ve spent 3 days (weekend) at La Fornacina in July 2011. We were traveling thru Tuscany and Veneto for 2 weeks and we were looking for a peaceful and quiet place to spend a weekend far away from the crowded Florence and Venice. We couldn’t choose a better place. I loved our room and the dining and leaving space of... More

We have just spent three perfect days at la Fornacina (February 24 to 27) and we are quite puzzled by the previous review. Are we talking about the same place? The owner of the place gave us a very nice welcome, we had asked for a vegetarian dinner and we did get indeed a delicious variety of vegetable dishes. Our... More

I have been at La Fornacina yesterday with my wife and 2 kids (3yo and 5 month baby). We planned to stay 2 or 3 days but we left after one night. There were no custumer for the time we arrived and the owner showed us a room, but in a while she changed her mind for a different room.... More

If you wish to travel "far from the madding crowd" and feel at home at the same time, you definitely need to visit this splendid and charming place.......and once you have been there............it'll be impossible to forget it............... I have been there several times with my husband but will certainly be back as soon as possible.

I traveled with a friend of mine. Me, a vega-yoga-chakra girl, and him - a bistecca fiorentina lover who'd never been to agriturismo before. We chose this place by chance, wanting to spend a couple of days on the Terme di Saturnia. The reality exceeded all our expectations - the location is perfect to feel relaxed surrounded by nature, but close... More

After 2 weeks touring Tuscany with a mediaval art study group, we drove to La Fornacina on daughter's recommendation. An unbelievable little paradise - each room an individual aesthetic experience with a keen eye for design to please the senses, full of original art with gorgeous views! Amazing Etruscan ruins In the surrounding areas, with columns, lions, reposing figures, burial... More

La Fornacina was pure delight. This is without a doubt the place for those who seek true R&R; friendly welcoming staff, cozy clean rooms, deliciously prepared meals, and breathtaking nature. It's a magical place of peace and tranquility. Perfect for couples seeking romance or families with children. My husband, four year old daughter and I stayed for a week and... More
