We recently stayed at the Pian D'Ercole Resort. The location is great for trips into Florence and to explore the Tuscan area. I don't know about the nice reviews, but we certainly did not have the same experience. This is at best a three star hotel. 1) The owners seemed very nice, but did not speak much english.
