I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is great, with swimming pool and well kept garden. The rooms are a bit small, but that didn't matter, really. The breakfast was very good. The only down side is the hotel parking that is unlit over the night, but I never felt unsafe. But, as far as I'm concern,... More

Too bad we made the wrong choice. We arrived to a cold and unfriendly atmosphere upon arrival. My wrong choice of suggestion to friends who arrived after a long drive. Not just the cold atmosphere, but cold staff, almost bored at their jobs and a cold meal at their restaurant. Felt almost embarassed accompanying them to this hotel. Perhaps October... More

I stayed for 4 nights at this hotel & had the best time of my life. I have dreamed of going to Italy since I was 12 & after 33 years I finally made it. I traveled by myself & Eugenio (Eugene) was an amazing host, he got up early to take me to the train station & picked me... More

A memory for life, treated like family in beautiful locations! High level of service. The food from the kitchen was very good, better than expected. Lovely pool and garden. The woman who served us breakfast was so nice, made some good cappuccino's. Monika (the hostess) spoke english fluently. We had a very good time, and could easily return sometime. In... More

It was a great choice to stay at Pian d'ercole... 30 mins from Florence by train (last train back was at 08:55 pm which was a bit of a bummer)... but Rufina itself was beautiful, with hills covered with vineyards all around... the staff at the resort are extremely friendly and accommodating... Mr Restivo not only always provided us a... More

My holiday was in May 2013 and I reserved my room in October 2012. Mr. Restivo (Eugene) was always so very gracious and kind!! Also helped me with regards to my reservation and helping me transfer my deposit to Italy. The staff: Concetta, Vincenzo, Rocco, Anna, and Costanza were always pleasant and treated me like family. I stayed at the... More

The resort was located in the beautiful countryside near Florence. A good 15 minute walk from the nearest train station of Rufina or a quick taxi away from the larger train station in Pontasieve. The receptionist, Mateo, was very welcoming and friendly and was quick to help us get settled in. The new owner, Eugene (in English), was a very... More

We stayed here before about 3 years ago, since then it has had new owners and has been refurbished. We had a room in the main building which was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. Whilst the window looked over the courtyard we had complete privacy because they have coated the windows so that they can not be seen through from... More

I spent four days at the hotel with my familiy in a 3 bed room, and we felt as if it was only a restaurant since they didn't care much about the hotel. We had a problem with the reservation, easy to solve, but everything must be done by the manager. The hotel staff didn't seem very proffessional. The same... More

Pian d'Ercole was the perfect place to stay for my family and I. The train station is walkable and we were only 30 minutes away from downtown Florence. The surrounding hillsides are beautiful with lush vineyards and olive trees. The workers were more than accommodating and helped us whenever we needed. Towards the end they were almost like family.
