We stayed at this hotel as a stopover on our way to the Czech Republic and we were pleasantly surprised with it. We found out about the Hessischer Hof on the internet and at first we were apprehensive about booking in as the featured picture seemed to depict a rather dingy establishment. However it was conveniently placed on our route so we went ahead with the booking. When we eventually arrived the polished marble and glinting glass surfaces soon put our minds at rest. The en-suite family bedroom we stayed in was large and split level which our daughters loved (especially the well stocked drinks cabinet). The hotel was scrupulously clean and the decor and fittings were modern and of a high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful although English was not very well understood and we managed with our daughters limited German vocabulary.
