We have had a very nice family lunch in the Kilmartin Hotel after being out exploring the surrounding area up to Dunadd Fort. The menu was varied and catered for all tastes & children. The food was very hot, servings very generous, and the staff very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a "value for money" meal... More

Booked this kind of last minute as my usual in the area was full. Was met by a polite lady who showed me to a very spacious room with separate shower room and bathroom. Didn't eat in the restaurant as had a very late lunch in Oban but had a few drinks in the nice little bar where I chatted... More

I thoroughly recommend this lovely spot, on the road between Lochgilphead and Oban... With a great view down the valley and over the ancient cairns and burial mounds. Richard, the landlord makes you feel very welcome, and there's a great selection of beers wines and spirits in the little bar area. The food at the Kilmartin is excellent! Whether it's... More

We spent two pleasant nights here just after Christmas. We got the top floor with a great view. The room was clean and supplied with all the usual requirements. The towels were large and fluffy and noteworthy when other similar hotels usually supply pocket handkerchiefs. Plenty of warmth and hot water. A busy bar to have a pint or dram... More

My husband and I stopped in to stay for a night during our jaunt through Scotland. We had planned to visit Kilmartin and the local standing stones and were pleasantly surprised to find that The Kilmartin Hotel is virtually "across the street" from what we planned to visit! The owner was super! The service staff was helpful and friendly. Dinner... More

Laid back, relaxed place. This is not a soul-less travel inn and I like that. It is owned by a family who were there to serve drinks in the bar and food all night, then up in the morning to serve breakfast and service rooms. I ended up staying an extra night. The food was good, huge portions. The bedroom... More

If you're looking for a modern ,plastic, commercial hotel, this isn't the place. If you want a warm, comfortable, clean, well run country hotel in a beautiful part of Scotland then this is the place. Friendly atmosphere in the bar, excellent food, and an Innkeeper and staff who actually cares about your wellbeing is the best description of the Kilmartin Hotel.... More

After a couple of disappointing meals at the place we were staying close-by, we thought we'd try somewhere else. And this was an excellent choice! It's run by a local bloke..... And it's run extremely well. The restaurant is very comfortable with tables sensibly spaced, and is serviced by two very efficient and pleasant lassies under the quiet supervision of... More

Vidited early evening and it was already busy. Good Loch Ness brewery beers and good fudh on thr specials board. Sur's soup was enough for a main course! I had a local speciality with haggid & Whisky sauce, filling and flavoursome.
