This time the circumstances of our visit to Argyll meant that we stayed in Kilmartin for two nights instead of the usual overnight stop. That made it twice as good. The proprietor and his staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever and our room was warm, spotless and very comfortable. They are clearly establishing a reputation for their food... More

Spent one great night at the Hotel and we had the 'Summer' bedroom with amazing views over the Church and beyond. The Room was warm and cosy, just what we needed on a cold March night. We had some drinks in the bar before dinner which was very relaxing, we ordered dinner and they came and took us through to... More

Myself and two boys had lunch here while on a holiday break. Excellent homecooked food, piping hot and very tasty. The evening menu also looked very appealing,we will definitely return when we holiday in the area again.!

I was really disappointed that in such a lovely location, the hotel was so run down. Staff were friendly but the room was depressing and in great need of refurbishment. Food was of pub grub standard. If you are visiting the area, I would recommend you look elsewhere for accommodation.

I stayed in the All seasons room that had been reviewed in Wake up (May 2014) and I agree entirely with what was written about the state of the room. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and it is worth visiting for a meal.

The kilmartin hotel is a lovely place and the food is enjoyable, particularly the chicken with whiskey sauce. However it is greatly let down by the service. Waitresses were rude and not particularly helpful. We were not offered a chance to order drinks not did we feel we were welcome. It is a shame due the the quality of the... More

This is an old hotel that is undergoing improvements...charming & quite adequate. Pleasant & quaint dining area with good food. Set in a rural area in a charming village across the street from an old Church of Scotland with many interesting grave sites.

We were staying at a local B&B and decided to have 3 evening meals at this Hotel as the food was so good. The staff were very friendly, approachable, helpful and gave great service. The standard of the food was excellent each evening. The chef had no difficulty in catering for a dairy allergy and the meals were innovative, attractive... More
