Nice hotel and my second visit. Staff are helpful although sometimes absent - the food is good. The room I stayed in was comfortable but dark (room 3) and could do with a wee facelift in the bathroom.

3 nights and to be fair 3 comfortable nights in a room which did the job. Where to begin! Cairnbaan Hotel friendly, efficient and relaxed. Room spacious and clean. Staff very friendly. Food terrific with a great range of daily specials. Surrounding countryside enchanting. Stopped in yesterday with my father for lunch. We both had fish and chips. The specials board said that it was haddock landed at nearby Tarbert, and the price was £11.99. Most of the seafood , which was our reason to visit , was "off" what was still on was farmed and not local . So disappointed , i chose a meat dish which came re- heated and dry , i left it . With no sympathy from the management we left never to return .

Met up with some friends from Cairnbaan for a meal and found the staff were friendly, food was excellent very good value, shame there was no mussels available but would still recommend.
