Duma Tau was the second camp of my Botswana safari. The camp is in a great position facing the Linyati swamp. Tents are adequately appointed with private decks and river views. The raised timber walkway connecting the rooms is designed to let the animals pass on their way to the river. Elephants can often been seen crossing to the other... More

Duma Tau is a 40 to 60 minute flight from Maun depending on the size of your plane and then a 30 minute drive from the airstrip. Every minute of that trip, and all the distance you've gone beforehand to reach Botswana is absolutely worth it. The Linyati concession area has only 3 Wilderness camps and throughout most of our... Duma Tau was the last stop on our week long luxury safari experience in Botswana. I wondered what we would find at Duma Tau, and could it possibly live up to our experience of the past 5 days! And it certainly did! This camp has serious WOW factor, and well deserving of all its accolades! Duma Tau has recently been... More

The second of our 3 Botswana camps on a 16-day safari, each in a different pat of the country, DumaTau is superbly positioned on the Chobe River for spectacular sunrises, sunsets and elephant viewing from the patio or the water-side platform with its own bonfire.Tents are spacious and very well appointed, each with its own private deck looking onto the... Dear Cooperpeterj, Thank you for the brilliant review, we are overjoyed to see you emjoyed your stay with us, even on the chilly winter morning drives. The Linyanti River and the Savute Channel attract many species of wildlife, particularly in the winter months when this is the only water available. Elephants are especially abundant at this time. Large pods of... More

I stayed with my family at end of May 2015 for 2 nights. I had very pleasant experience . We had excellent game viewing. Thank to our guide Ras. who has sharp eyes to spot animals even in dark. Very informative and knowledgeable. As soon as we landed ,he took us out on game drive and send our luggage in... More

Again Wilderness Safari have set up a magnificent camp overlooking a river and into Namibia, I found the service and the food as well as the quality of accommodations excellent! The staff are great and go out of there way to make you comfortable...they run a slick operation and make transits in and out of camp very easy. Our guide... More

Dear Craigyp2015, Thank you for your kind and touching words, we are delighted to hear what a great stay you had with Ras and all our staff in camp. Stayed 2 nights. Out of the 3 camps we stayed at, our tent here I would rate 3rd. It was very nice, just not to my taste in decor. The camp definitely rates a 5! Our tent was decorated in a vintage safari tent motif. There was a step down from the entry into the sleep and bath area. The... More

Dear Noodlie066, Thank you for your beautiful review and the high rating even though this was not your favourite camp – architecturally – we are glad the area and our staff were able to compensate this for you. When DumaTau was recently renovated and the architectures married the architecture with the interiors by espousing the exoticism of the explorer aesthetic... More

This is a great little camp that is more of a contemporary design than a classic camp. Bathrooms are en-suite. NOTE that if you're sharing with a friend or sibling that the bathrooms aren't very private - particularly the shower. They're wide open. The food was quite good. I didn't care for the way they break the camp up and... More

My husband and I arrived in Duma Tao for our first safari at the end of March 2015. We were astounded by the level of organisation that is required for such an adventure, and impressed at the high level of service provided at all times. The effort to work so sustainably was appreciated too. Duma Tao is a fantastic camp,... More

Flew in from Kwando Lagoon, via Lebala where we picked-up a couple, who were then going on to ….….......... - I forget now. Superb flying conditions, clear, calm, and minimal heat haze - a real delight.
