We stayed at La Casa di Pippinetto for five days in September and rated it our top experience during our recent visit us to Southern Italy. As everyone else has said, Cesare is a warm and welcoming host, and the accommodation is extremely comfortable for the modest price charged. You have to look very carefully to see the care with... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Casa di Pippinitto, especially all the little touches that elevate this B&B to something special. As noted in other reviews, Cesare is friendly, welcoming, and helpful -- truly a warm host. We arrived stressed and hungry after a travel day fraught with difficulties and he arranged to have pizza and calzones delivered for... More

It was the 4th time we were in Santa Venerina in La Casa di Pippinitto with the terrific Cesare as host. And again we had a great time. Although Cesare is working around the clock amidst the citrus trees, the olives or the wallnut trees, he is doing everything that is in his power to make you feel at home.... More

The rooms, the bathrooms, breakfast and the entire feeling of being welcome and being 'serviced'. The wine is in the fridge next to the water and beers in the shared living room for all to take when desired and Cesare and his wife will always help to guide you to the best trips on Etna, good places to eat and... This is a real example of Agri-Bed and Breakfast: you are guest of a Family Farm in the green of the Etna. Genuine and simple…: Guest of the real Sicily. Cesare, the owner, works from the morning to the evening in his fields of fruits, olives trees and vegetables, but always there when needed. Sit in the shadows of the... More

Cesare welcomes his guests in a reconverted farm amidst his citrus gardens, with views up to the sea and the Etna. We enjoyed the easy-going tranquility of the place, having breakfast (with plenty of fresh orange juice) in the lovely light breakfast room, relaxing in the garden and strolling through the orchard in the morning or evening. Cesare is discrete... More

The Casa di Pippinitto is a real gem! Our stay with Cesare on his farm property on the east coast of Sicily was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds (I like firm beds). The furnishings are basic, but more than adequate. And the newly renovated bathrooms in our... More

sitting in the garden at Casa di Pippinitto is a treat. Host Cesare is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean though the neighboring dog kept us up. Highly recommend it to those who want an alternative to the more formal hotels. Easy to get to Etna and up the coast.

The Casa di Pippinitto in Santa Venerina is a MUST for everyone with plans of visiting Catania (do so!), Taormina, even up to Messina and also Syracusa going south. Following the big road to Enna I guess also Piazza Armerina (with those mosaics; the most beautiful we saw!) is peanuts. There is nothing more/new I can tell about La Casa... More

My two cousins and ourselves (60-ish years young...) just got back from the most lovely time at Casa P. The place is highy individual with very nice basic en-suite rooms plus one self contained suite with two bedrooms and kitchen facilities. Set in the middle of orchards and gardens on the lower slopes of Mount Etna in the pretty little... More
