It was a delight staying at the Hotel Palais Riad Hida (which has been converted from a palace). When my tour group arrived the place was empty, which made the place seem more magical. The grounds are full of trees and flowers with lots of little seating areas scattered around the place. There is a nice sized swimming pool there... More

Gorgeous grounds. this place is big, and covered in lush garden. Dinner outside under the stars was amazing. The room was huge, with ensuite - everything working as it should, bed was very comfortable. The host (owner) was extremely nice. Peacocks wander the grounds, birds singing in the trees... could have stayed longer than one night. Not much n the... More

Set in lovely gardens this is from an appearance and facilities point of view outstanding and beautiful. Yes some of the ceilings show signs of cracks and not everything is perfect but it is a restful and serene place. The birdsong and peacock calls in the morning are a great way to wake up. The pool is unheated. I upgraded... More

The rooms were beautiful and clean, the gardens seemed to be never ending (as was the supply of citrus fruit growing everywhere for guests to enjoy) and the meals were delicious. A great place to stay and to get lost just within the gardens

We loved staying at this hotel. The staff were nice and the setting is the best that we has during our stay in Morocco. The grounds are lush gardens with orange trees. The pool was wonderful after spending the previous couple of days in the Sahara! Our room was so grand! We had a huge balcony overlooking the gardens, a... More

Can't quite understand the earlier review about the 'faded glory' of this place. All seemed very well cared for, rooms clean and perfectly comfortable, the staff were helpful and pleasant, *despite our pretty hopeless French), even if they are not exactly effusive. But what makes this place really special are the gorgeous lush and perfectly maintained gardens - which at... More

Probably a bit over rated since it is really the only place to stay locally, and there is little else to do in the town other than stop en route to somewhere else. Once through the gates the contrast is positive. Palms and orange trees - we picked at ate the oranges, lemons and grapefruits. Peacocks wandering about and a... More

I was quite looking forward to staying in a palace hotel, but I have to confess some disappointment. While my room was very spacious, with a bedroom, ensuite and a lounge area with garden views, the room would have benefitted from a bit of maintenance. The walls in the bedroom had chips in the render, and some of the bathroom... More

This is a hotel we have known for a while. It has always been a haven of peace, with a beautiful garden and a magnificent pool. This time however, the food which has never been more than acceptable, was poor. The pool was full of noisy children and equally noisy young moroccan couples, many of whom did not seem to... More

We stayed here mid March, for one night. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are located around the gardens. There's a large, but cold, well kept swimming pool. The dining room is stunning and harks back to a bygone age. Intricate mosaics and beautiful furniture. Service at diner was very good. Our room was large and traditional... More
