The best aspect of this hotel is the beautiful gardens and pool near the walled entry. The rooms in the older part are very gracious and have the charm of separate sitting rooms with fireplaces and local fittings. There is a swimming pool in the newer part but it is inconveniently sited for use without much in the way of... More

We stayed here for one night while travelling round Morocco.Taroudant has lots of character, but there are not many special things to do in the town. The hotel is in a riad style and very spacious, close to the gate into the old town, and has attractive gardens. Our room was large and comfortable and very quiet: it was noticeable... More

This hotel is hard to locate and the staff I encountered were generally uninterested. The food in the restaurant was mediocre. This is a great shame as the potential is great - it's a beautiful, beautiful Kasbah with some amazing architectural pieces but it's just not right. I was down to stay for two nights but only lasted one.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the first night in the new part. That night we had some really bad weather and the next morning we had a pool of water in the room. The reception put us directly into a much better room in the old part of the Palais. (with the Banana Garden) This place is big, but... More

After spending time at other wonderful riads around Morocco we were a little bit disappointed with this hotel. There was no traditional welcome, with either tea or refreshments. The air-conditioning didn't work on a very hot day The rooms are clean and functional but lack the charm of a proper riad. It's more of a complex. That said the grounds... More

If you are looking for old world Morocco, this is the hotel for you. Food was good, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I am in a wheelchair and apart from 3 steps up to the pool I was unrestricted. Every time we went to the pool people seemed to just appear to help me.. Not... More

This is a charming palace. The building is beautiful especially because it is not manicured. Our more than large room was in the new part of the building but we loved it. The bed was comfortable and the linen pristine. Swimming in the pool that faces the old remparts was magical as it was walking in the eve on one... More

After wild camping in the Sahara for 5 nights, and a long drive north to Taroudant, the Palais Salam was a welcome retreat. The staff were very very helpful and we enjoyed the buffet food. The town was interesting to explore, a little less busy than Marrekesh but truly delightful. I've read some mixed reviews about the hotel here, yes... More

Spent two nights here as part of a tour of morocco. The property is beautiful, set into the walls of the city. There are lovely gardens and courtyards, two pools, indoor restaurant, and outdoor terraces. Unfortunately, like many places in morocco, the property is not well maintained. Plumbing is old, furniture worn. The breaker tripped when I ran my hairdryer.... More
