The property really is very beautiful and I agree with all it's excellent reviews. We spent 7 nights here in the Room 1 - Jacaranda in the Al Borj Annex. Ollivier (the owner) was very helpful and obliging, we really enjoyed the picnic in the Palmiere on New Year's day considering we're not much for organized expeditions and each evening meal... More

We had a wonderful time at Dar al Hossoun. The hotel is built within a massive, varied garden, containing over 900 different plants, landscaped to show off all the unique plants. Each room is located within the garden in a traditional Moroccan structure, giving lots of privacy and peace and quiet. The hotel is a beautiful place to relax and... More

We have just enjoyed 10 days in Morocco. It was a memorable experience. Al Hossoun from our experience, was disappointing. We have reviewed most of our accomodation locations, in three countries, and this one was the only one, we remembered for the wrong reasons. Arriving in the dark, the location was difficult to find, due its remoteness. Why the hotel... More

A very unusual stop over but not in a bad way. A peaceful tranquil haven with peacocks and cats wandering about, also the odd toad in your room which was a little disconcerting. Beautiful views of the Atlas mountains from the roof. We had 2 nights and both night ate at the hotel, the food was simple but excellent and... More

We only stayed at Dar al Hossoun for one night, but an amazing one. The next day our bus was in the late afternoon and the owner let us stay and enjoy our room for a til we had to leave for the bus. It was very kind of him a surprising since check out in other hotels are usually... More

A paradise in the middle of a beautiful garden with different species of plants mainly succulents, aloes, palm trees and cacti. On a clear day you can see the snow-capped High Atlas mountains from the roof terrace. Four resident peacocks add a regal touch. All the rooms in the hotel are these traditional structures with thick earth walls that provide... More

beautiful desert gardens surround the property as well as are woven in between the rooms and common area so you feel so secluded (if that could be even more possible). This grand oasis is a stunner. I arrived at night and their guard was waiting for me at 4am! It was so easy and not a hassle to get right... More

We turned up at the gate without a reservation in our camper van. Thierry was completely charming, a little concerned to have a room prepared for us, and he showed us a couple of rooms for our consideration. They are all beautifully appointed and the gardens are simply magical. We had lunch and dinner here, with the resident cats and... More

We stayed here on our last night as my parter (Julia Wylie) is a London-based gardener and had heard and read many great things. We stayed on New Years Day 2014 and it was a great start to the year. (I think they'd had a rather memorable party the previous evening as a few sore heads were evident:) We started... More

A beautiful garden with the rooms scattered around; peaceful and green; cool rooms and great food; friendly attentive service and a very helpful and knowledgeable owner; pool, palms, peacocks and a touch of paradise.
