We have just returned from a 2 week trip touring Namibia which included 1 night at Tsauchab River Camp. We had a really lovely time staying there and we were met by one of the warmest welcomes we had in Namibia. Our allocated room was a lovely little stone building set on its own in the bush beautifully decorated and... More

We were made to feel welcome right from the start. A puncture had delayed our arrival until after lunch but no problem, a very tasty sandwich was soon rustled up for us. We had the eagle chalet, about a 15 min walk from the restaurant but how lovely to be out in isolation with just the stars and odd animal... More

We stayed in the camp ground - very quiet, pleasant and full of birds. Asked if they do dinners - only to find that, here in the middle of nowhere, they can put on an excellent spread in a very stylish dining room. Highly recommended

Upon entering you are greeted by a vast number of sculptures which the owner welded together from old farm scrap. He refuses to be called an artist, but some of the pieces are really cool. The reception, restaurant and bar feature a farm stall and here we come to the second most important feature. You can eat at the restaurant... More

Very nicely located chalets in the bush on the river bank. Amazing starry sky. Deep silence between the mountains. The eagle room is perfect for romance. The other huts are located at 50 meters distance. Our children stayed in their own huts with twin beds. We made a day trip to Sossusvlei.

How can more than 90 people stay in a campsite and not know about each other? Just spread them out over 15 km. We stayed at the birds paradise site which was lovely. Each family could pick its own spot. The shower and toilet facilities clean and water wonderfully hot - if only we could have had it in the... More

This was our first stop en route to Sossus Dune, but it was so much more than just a place to break our journey. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fresh and home-cooked. We were given excellent advice and maps to explore the extensive estate... More

We have visited this camp many times since 2000 when it first opened. Always lives up to expectation. The finest in Africa!! We should know as we have travelled all over Africa for the last 20 years. Cannot wait to visit again on our next Namibia adventure.

Very friendly welcome, nicely decorated bar and clean little pool. Nice little shop. Creative and funny iron art everywhere . Then the campsites: one every 15 km in the wild:15km bush in total privacy! Beautiful locations, and yet a very nice natural-style private bathroom, including hot shower! We stayed at "oerwald", at the river where the baboons live. 4x4 routes.Top... More

Our group of ten weary travellers stumbled upon this wonderful lodge. Chalet and campsites occupied. Wonderful, helpful and beautiful people that run this family owned business. Well worth the trouble; be sure to use a 4x4 vehicle to travel in this part of the world. The view of the sky and stars not seen anywhere in the world!!!
