This was our first stop en route to Sossus Dune, but it was so much more than just a place to break our journey. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fresh and home-cooked. We were given excellent advice and maps to explore the extensive estate... More

We have visited this camp many times since 2000 when it first opened. Always lives up to expectation. The finest in Africa!! We should know as we have travelled all over Africa for the last 20 years. Cannot wait to visit again on our next Namibia adventure.

Very friendly welcome, nicely decorated bar and clean little pool. Nice little shop. Creative and funny iron art everywhere . Then the campsites: one every 15 km in the wild:15km bush in total privacy! Beautiful locations, and yet a very nice natural-style private bathroom, including hot shower! We stayed at "oerwald", at the river where the baboons live. 4x4 routes.Top... More

Our group of ten weary travellers stumbled upon this wonderful lodge. Chalet and campsites occupied. Wonderful, helpful and beautiful people that run this family owned business. Well worth the trouble; be sure to use a 4x4 vehicle to travel in this part of the world. The view of the sky and stars not seen anywhere in the world!!!

Been driving three days all the way from the South African Garden Route to the Naukluft Mountain Park. Been tired, and begin to have my own doubts about taking on such a long road. Decided to stop at Tsauchab for a break, and with no booking. Well, well..what an wonderful surprise! Wonderful friendly welcome by Johan and Nicky. They arrange... More

The campsites have their own driveways and are truly private and beautiful. Ours had a top notch braai pit, outdoor counterspace and sink, and an amazing ablution block built into the hollow of a huge tree such that the inside of the trunk made up two walls. There was a woodfired stove to heat shower water and at night they... More

We were here two nights in a weekend. The roads from Windhoek (B1 and C24) are good and only the very last part is a bit bumpy. The camp is very well organized with a reception that can assist with most things including the tyre repair I needed. We were a group with four cars and stayed on the camping... More

Nicky and Johan are the perfect hosts. They are passionate and knowledgeable about the Naukluft Mountains and they, along with their staff have created a special place. Our chalet was lovely; the meals in the restaurant were tasty, well presented and reasonably priced, and the walks on their property were very well marked

We camped in Bustard Main Camp about 1.5km from reception. There were wide expansive views of the hills from the campsite. We had exclusive use of an ablution block which was to hotel standard with a paraffin lamp, curtains, pictures - that may sound trivial to some of you but it shows the level of care that hosts Nicky and...
