I was looking for a place to stay that was in easy reach of both London and Gatwick and in a calmer area than central London. Brompton House Guest House suited my requirements very well. It’s a short walk from Redhill rail station, which is in turn a few stations up the line from Gatwick (great not to have to... More

We had a one night stay which was totally unplanned but turned out to be very comfortable. The hosts waited for us until the late evening, helped secure our bikes at the back of the house and showed us around. Really lovely place, very clean and homely. Typical English B&B - and the breakfast was very delicious!!!

Thank you! Sometimes unplanned trips are the most memorable! We are always extremely happy to welcome late check-ins as we know sometimes people need them.. We understand how frustrating it can be when there are restrictions! We accommodate quite a few cyclists here at Brompton :0) Many have been following the North Down's Way and find us a suitably close-by... More

I stayed 1 night at this lovely charming guest house while on a business trip. The location is excellent, just a 2 minute walk from good eateries and the train station. The guest house is lovely, typically English, spotlessly clean , quiet and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. WIFI is excellent also. The breakfast is... More

We had a one night stay, which was very pleasant. The owners are friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Shower a bit temperamental, as either very hot or cold, but fine for just a one night, quiet, stopover. We would happily return.

We arrived in the afternoon and was met by very nice lady who promptly showed us to our room which was comfortable. The location was excellent and close to the train station, situated in a delightful quiet road. She also kindly arranged for a taxi in the evening to take us to our wedding reception. The beds were very comfortable and... More

Many thanks! We are very happy you had a pleasant stay! Surrey is a beautiful area in which to get married and we get many guests attending weddings, especially at this time of year! We are always happy to arrange taxis for our guests. The numbers for the local taxi companies are both in our room 'welcome book' and on... More

My wife and I stayed for three nights in November . Owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The house is a bit dated but clean. Hated the shower either freezing or scolding. Breakfast was excellent and ideally situated for the train station. Reasonable value.

I was working near Redhill for a year and enjoyed using this characterful and homely B&B as my base. Just 5mins walk from Redhill station, but set in a quiet area without traffic or train noise so I always got a good night's sleep. Breakfasts were both varied and plentiful and the addition of Classic FM to breakfast service made... More

I stayed here for 3 weeks and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were good and clean. Breakfast was good with multiple options. Situated near the towncentre and easy accessiblity to restaurants. The owners were very kind and helpful. Overall, this is one of the best place i've stayed in UK, I will certainly recommend it.

This guest house is worth your stay. It is clean, quaint and deliberately decorated in period time. Breakfast is full and well cooked and is eaten with classical music in the background. The staff are all warm, pleasant and respectful. I recommend it.

Booked here as we were going to a party around the corner. Had been warned off other hotels in Redhill so went for this one. Booked via email and got quick responses. When we arrived we rang bell, knocked and rang bell again, but with no answer. Ended up phoning them to say we were outside. Later that evening we... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Brompton is a classic Edwardian house, set on a quiet road on a small hill, that has just been refurbished in keeping with the age. We are situated in the Surrey Hills area of the green belt surrounded by countryside, but still close to London, and only three minutes walk from Redhill railway station. We are very close to the town centre that offers the Belfry shopping center, the famous Harlequin Theatre/Cinema and the Donyngs Recreational Facility (Better). ... more   less
