We stayed here for 4 days with the sole intention of doing very little, we loved the idea of being locked away in a little wooden cabin on a lake for a few days not really having to do anything but relax. So we got the train to Avimore from York which is a lovely journey then got a taxi... More

We stayed here for two nights while snowboarding. It was warm, cosy, and very clean. The room wasn't huge but be knew that before we went. There was a good choice at breakfast and the hot food was fine. The location is stunning and ideal for snow sports and visiting the local area. It was good value for money .... More

We stayed here with friends. Accomodation is very cramped to say the least but if you like roughing it you will do fine. Our shower tray leaked all over the floor and there was a very limited supply of hot water with a notice saying leave at least 30 mins between showers. Breakfast was included down at the restaurant and... More

We stayed in the Tormore lodge for Christmas and loved it. Totally. Awesome location and awesome scenery. Cannot fault it one bit. So why three stars...? Two fundamental issues with it: 1. The lodge had a damaged oven glove and my wife burnt herself using it. Old and has holes in it and the hob has no "hot" warning light.... More

Our bedroom was 5 bunks in a small room with an en-suite shower room. Comfortable warm basic and clean. Staff replaced a defective light bulb without being asked which was good to see and made us feel much better about the place. Breakfast was strictly between 0800 and 0900 hours sharp! Food was reasonably palatable and being cooked fresh throughout... More

Stayed in the hall to attend a wedding which was being held on the beach at the Loch Insh Watersport centre. The meal and reception was in the hall as was the b&b. The setting for the wedding was beautiful. The meal was lovely and the day was a great success. The accommodation was very pricey for what it was.... More

We stayed in B & B accomodation in the hall. Our room was hostel level, 2 twin beds and bunk beds squashed into a small space. Room was very cold when we booked in but it did warm up. Ensuite shower room was awful, taps you had to push constantly to get any water, shower with no tray, so water... More

Myself and three friends stayed in the Glentromie cabin and like I said, we were very happy with it. It was so cosy! We were close to the hall, but heard no noise. Everything on-site including the Loch was very close-by, although there were some steep steps down to the lochside and Boathouse, so if you can't manage these ask... More

Rooms a bit small, smell of wood paint very strong, otherwise quiet and confy. Breakfast simple but very nice. Amazing views on the lake, plenty of things to do and see around the hotel. Lovely setting, good fun for kids with several playgrounds. Very nice staff.

This resort has a range of chalets, apartments and dorm style rooms next to a lake. We stayed in the Loch View apartment, although this was spacious and well equiped there was no loch view. The games room is excellent with pool, wi-fi, and acade games all housed in the old ptaramigan ski lodge. The staff were friendly and the... More
