2 adults, 2 kids we stayed in one of their chalets ( Tamhdu ) which overlooks the loch. Hot tub meant the kids could do free early morning and late afternoon water activities, then warm up in the hot tub. wood burning stove was all set to go. Staff were really helpful and friendly. the loch provide your own osprey... More

Stayed 3 nights here with son on an end of season mission to Cairngorm Mountain. It had everything we were needing, good food, a place to rest and relax after a long day snowboarding, fantastic views across the loch and a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It is a family run place, was great to actually meet some of them,... More

We arrived here after day 4 walking the East Highland Way. My only gripe with this place wasn't that we weren't allowed to check in early (to a clean and ready to use) room, but the glee with which the brittle receptionist told us we couldn't. When we did check in, a friendly staff member showed us to our neat... More

The location was excellent with amazing views of the lake! It was also a perfect location to visit the wildlife park, which we absolutely loved. We had dinner in their restaurant as well which we enjoyed. Breakfast was really good with a full selection of warm food. For us, the room was cold. We are from a warm climate so... More

Stayed here for four nights and were blessed with good weather. The location is superb and views up the loch are breathtaking. You can use the canoes and boats an the morning and late afternoon free of charge. The food in the restaurant is superb with vegetarian options and a good range of fish dishes also. It is very convenient... More

We stayed here for 4 days with the sole intention of doing very little, we loved the idea of being locked away in a little wooden cabin on a lake for a few days not really having to do anything but relax. So we got the train to Avimore from York which is a lovely journey then got a taxi... More

We stayed here for two nights while snowboarding. It was warm, cosy, and very clean. The room wasn't huge but be knew that before we went. There was a good choice at breakfast and the hot food was fine. The location is stunning and ideal for snow sports and visiting the local area. It was good value for money .... More

We stayed here with friends. Accomodation is very cramped to say the least but if you like roughing it you will do fine. Our shower tray leaked all over the floor and there was a very limited supply of hot water with a notice saying leave at least 30 mins between showers. Breakfast was included down at the restaurant and... More

We stayed in the Tormore lodge for Christmas and loved it. Totally. Awesome location and awesome scenery. Cannot fault it one bit. So why three stars...? Two fundamental issues with it: 1. The lodge had a damaged oven glove and my wife burnt herself using it. Old and has holes in it and the hob has no "hot" warning light.... More

Our bedroom was 5 bunks in a small room with an en-suite shower room. Comfortable warm basic and clean. Staff replaced a defective light bulb without being asked which was good to see and made us feel much better about the place. Breakfast was strictly between 0800 and 0900 hours sharp! Food was reasonably palatable and being cooked fresh throughout... More
