We stayed here for a full week and enjoyed every minute. The room was clean and comfortable. Fab views over the bay. Even without the 5 star treatment, this lovely hotel satisfied all our needs. The two girls in reception were so helpful and accommodating. We arrived one day late due to adverse weather conditions in Madeira and they took... More

Whatever you do, book a sea view room at the Costa Linda - the view and sound of the Atlantic on the shore is very soothing. All the staff we met were charming, friendly and very helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. Our bedroom was only just large enough, it was quite difficult to fit in suitcases... More

Stayed here for one night on our walking tour of Eastern Madeira. This was a fabulous find - small, comfortable hotel, room with terrace overlooking the sea. Staff very welcoming, and dinner in the restaurant open to non-residents was fantastic, served by a friendly and knowledgeable young waiter. Highly recommend Costa Linda and this small town for a night or... More

What a lovely place to stay. No frills but sooo amazingly clean. Our room had a sea view and how beautiful to sit on the balcony and watch the sun rise. Reception staff really helpful. You can set off for fantastic walks from here taking your hotel picnic with you. When you get back pop over the road for a... More

The view from the balcony of our room was hard to beat, overlooking the Atlantic ahead, mountains and the distant coast to the right and the local blue lido embedded in its craggy volcanic pedestal to the left. The setting of the Costa Linda is magnificent and the sound of the waves breaking on the shore is soothing but not... More

The welcome and the help given to us in planning our stay was outstanding. The reception staff were multi-lingual (good French and English and maybe more), and went to great lengths to give good advice and to support to us. However, bright street lights on the promenade with flimsy curtains meant that the quality of sleep was very poor. Room... More

We stayed for two nights at the Costa Linda and were well suited. It's exactly what it purports to be - clean, in a good location, and with friendly staff. The bedrooms (we had one with a balcony overlooking the sea) are small but they have all you might need, and downstairs there's a restaurant and bar serving breakfast and... More

We stayed for two nights at the Costa Linda and were delighted. It's nothing posh, but it's clean, in a very good location, and above all has excellent staff. They are friendly and attentive, and all seemed to speak good English. The bedrooms (we had one with a balcony overlooking the sea) are small but they have all you need.... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in February 2014. It was cold outside, but the hotel and its rooms were comfortably warm: important! The rooms are spacious enough and the beds are good. Friendly staff, speaking good English. Helpful: they warned us that a Levada we would like to walk was closed and they proposed a walk in... More
