5/5 Perfekt for relaxed holidays with children - perfect location - beautiful comfy rooms - genial food experience ( seefood, stakes, realy cool) - BEST for children in activities and program!! Very friendly animators, who takes tender care of your loved once…. There is so much to do that … one week is not enough - high tech GYM - plus classes for adults yoga… Paradise!!!

We stayed one week. Stuff are very nice, helpful. Entertainements in kids club are perfect (they have activities for 0-2, 3-6 and 7+ yeaes old kids). You can leave children in kids club for free. Drinks are very expensive (0.75 l water= 6 eur, small coke 4.9 eur, juice 3,5 eur). Every day you get one bottle of water in the room. We came around 10h to the hotel and would like to go to breakfast. Lady said to us that is free, but in the finally bill (when we checked out) we saw, that they charged 29 eur per adults and 14 for kids. After we spoke to lady in reception, they cancelled bill from breakfast. Rooms are nice, big. You have all equipment for babies in the hotel (diapers, food, etc.)

We are now in this hotel . Staying 2 weeks room 2224and 2225 . Have 2 rooms - one big one and one standard. Big room is fabulous - climbing wall for kids , 2 bathrooms , separate room for kids .One standard is small but with separate room for kids too which is good but the big parents bed is 1.5m away from the entrance door which is so irritating in the mornings and late evenings .Very noisy ! Bigger room is much better as too far from the entrance but the insulation in the hotel is horrific. In the mornings you can listen to every word of your neighbour’s above you , running , moving furniture etc so my nights personally were not restful at all .I read feedbacks about the hotel and this problem is often mentioned .also no door between room and bathroom. Restaurants Breakfast -it is ok with choice but 2 ladies at food preparation ( eggs , waffles , pancakes, crepes etc ) is not enough . People are always waiting for something . Lunch -not big choice .and only 1.5 hour length . Dinner is great . sweet room is a pleasure for kids . In general, restaurant staff are trying hard, cleaning when dropping food , everyone is smiling and friendly . Kids zone and kids club - loved everything, great facilities , kids club staff is friendly , mini discos are great but what shocked me is hourly rate for babysitting is 50 euros !! I would be happy to leave my kid for few hours to have a rest but way too expensive Pools -great facilities . Loads of space for everyone, no problem with sun lounges and towels Beach is good and clean . Loved the area with trees where you can get shade . Kids are admired by sea animals and fish. Reception is very helpful and friendly except one lady Verena . Just after our arrival to the hotel there was a huge problem with tokens for washing machine . There was great shortage of them . So people put their coin to start it and straight away ran to reception to ask them to open the machine to take it back to keep it for the next washing . So my older son tried to do the same .He met Verena at reception and asked for a token he just put in . She said to come back in 1 hour after the cycle .My son explained that there would not be any as other people are seeking for them too asked to come to get the token now. Suddenly she started to be very rude, raised her voice saying she already told him to come in 1 hour . There were no big queues at that time so we did not understand the problem to go now . Of course in 1 hour we came and there were no tokens in the washing machine . Another lady who went with us to check ( blond hair with glasses, sorry do not know her name ) was very friendly and attentive . I came to Verena to say that she seemed to be very rude with my son just kicking him away and we were right and had no token now . No apologising but only started to interrupt me always repeating she was not rude . Only when I pointed her to the fact that she continues to be rude interrupting me she stopped .I told her that I was going to complain as she was the face of the hotel , still my son was a client despite he is 16 so she had to respectful. She seemed very indifferent and only grinned . Very unpleasant moment . Now Every time my son is passing the reception she starts to grin . I am sure the manager should speak to this lady . By the way we are extremely happy with all other ladies at the reception . All of them were always eager to help with tokens , tried to find another tennis coach when Benjamin was fully booked . All are always friendly and polite. By the way the problem with tokens was quickly solved when I asked the receptionists to speak to the manager and order more tokens .now it seems ok. We had one more unpleasant situation when the cleaning staff took 12 euros from our table thinking it was tips for them. After contacting reception the money was back . Thank you so much . By the way it was first time in my life when the cleaning staff took money from the table . Normally they take money only from the bed . Personally my kids are extremely happy with everything and a bird’s nest on our balcony with baby birds . Such a great experience to see how mum is taking care of them . In general the price is extremely high for the hotel and there are some moments that the hotel should work at . I hope in a time you can really deserve the 5 star hotel title .

Dear Yffhjkki, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are glad that you have enjoyed your stay with us and that the facilities and most of the services. I am sorry that Verena was not friendly to you and your son , we have had a long conversation on the matter as the employees of Diadora are know about our friendliness, and im sorry that you did not experience that with Verena. Regarding the tokens we did have them on order and the order was delayed on shipment and we did receive them after some delay. I do hope that we will have an opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Sincerely, Marieann Patrk & Diadora team

This is not a 5 star hotel in any way, except for the price. Here I will list only a few details that are unimaginable and incompatible with a 5-star hotel: - there is no bidet in the room. - there is no door in the bathroom - the space / box with the toilet bowl is approx. 1m2, there is no ventilation at all (!!!), when a person of medium height sits on the bowl with his knees and his head touches the door! this is at the level of 2 stars max. - out of the 3 nights we were in the hotel, not a single day we received, for example, body lotion and other bathroom necessities (shampoo, soap, etc.), which is basic standard in 5-star hotels, especially 5 star hotels with SPA. - the staff (maids) do not speak Croatian, German, nor English (!!!???) - TV that cannot be seen from the bed (placed around the corner!) - as for the food, there is lot of different food, but the ingredients are at the level of those available in any supermarket, nothing is exclusive in any way. - garage 50-100m away, in case of rain you have to drag luggage without any help. - the entrance to the hotel is completely unmarked (it's hard to find at night) In short, value for many is very very poor, this is not level of 5 stars (maybe only the part with the sauna, which is apparently recently renovated, and looks like 5 stars) I would certainly suggest to the management that they visit a couple of 5-star hotels, and even a competitive family hotel in Rabac, I'm sure that in the first 15 minutes they will notice how far they are from that level. All in all, if this will be 3 or 4 star hotel, everithing will be ok, but if you call yourself a 5 star hotel and have very high prices, then the experience can be only marked as terrible.

The hotel is a refurbished 4 star hotel which was upgraded to 5 stars - although I am not fully convinced that it deserves it. As a 5-star hotel visitor I will try to be very specific why I think the hotel does not meet the 5-star category: We paid over1.000€ per night! This is important if You want to have a feelibg what you should expect from the hotel. 1. As You arrive to the hotel You don’t have the look&feel of a 5 star hotel experience. No refreshing towels, no welcome drink, no „please sit down we will explain everything to you”. You stay at a refurbished reception desk and ask yourself where is the 5th star hidden. 2. The staff at the reception desk does their work right but You dont feel that they donit as You are used to in a 5 star hotel. 3. There was a luggage service at the hotel. 4. The rooms are specious but compeltely not functional like a family room! That was the first inacceptable point. You are going to a „5-star” family hotel where You children are not able to wash their hands because the washbasin is designed in such a way that it is even uncomfortable for us adults. The bathroom has no doors! How to wash Your hands at night without waking Your kids. The doors to the bedroom are faulty (not aligned properly) and You have to use much force to close them - making a lot of noise = waking up the children. 5. The room does not have a kettle (family room!). The one which was provided by the room service was faulty. The second one was ok. 6. There is no night light in the room. Each switch You put on brings a full brightness = waking up children. Even the light on the balcony is in my opinion way too bright and mounted upside down which makes the effect even worse. 7. The mattresses are VERY firm. Not comfortable sleeping. Beds are more 3-star quality. The childs bed is even more firm. 8. Rooms are nicely decorated for the children, there is even a climbing wall. 9. The minibar was not refueled - you had to ask for it. 10. The phone was broken. Fixed after 5 days… so we had to run to the restaurant or reeception everytime we needed something… 11. There were way to few waitress for a 5 star hotel. No service at the pools or at the beach .You have to run everytime to the bar. Also in the restaurants was lack of staff which resulted in rather frustrated atmosphere. everytime we ordered wine for dinner we had it delivered shortly after eating the dinner. This was so frustrating. Also the prices for the drinks wete extremely high. Bottle of water 5,30€ (which was more expensive than a beer!!). 12. The view from the balcony was on the roof of the restaurant. There was garbage/litter on the roof and unfinished roofing. After 6 days finally they took the garbage of the roof. 13. There was also litter on the way to the beach. The guys who were cleaning the beaches were doing it while the guests were on the beach. Normally they should do it in the morning or after the beach is closed… 14. due to lack of staff there was a Spa reception which was also reaching out towels for the swimming pool/beach guest. There were often queues. There was also no sunbed service as you are used to in a 5 star hotel. 15. There was no prosecco at the bar 3 days in a row. You had to run to another bar to have one. That was super silly.., 16. A lot of stuff was not well trained and wuite new to the job. You can not accept it in a 5 star hotel. 17. The joints between the pool tiles were moldy and green. (Hotel after renovation). This was an unhygienic experience everytime you wanted to use the pool with children. The pools were spacious. You had a variety of pools to choose from. Most of them were not well cleaned after the renovation 18. Coffee in the breakfast restaurant tastes like water. But food variety and quality was superb!! 17. Swimming pool Bar. It was operated by 1 person! The waiting time for drinks was sometimes 15 minutes. 18. There were situations were some technical guys were cleaning the pool drain grates with a electric vacuum cleaner with the cables 1 meter from the water while guests with children were insiade the pool. This was seriouy dangerous!! 19. The facility was formerly a big 4 star hotel and the atmosphere could not be changed . You still feel inside like in a 4 star hotel. 20. Bowling arena (fortis club) - no lift . So if you are with a stroller you have to go via stairs !! (New building!!) 21. The architect was not paying attention that they made a 5 star family hotel at all. Plus points: - very good food and icecream - the children play facilities, kindergarden, entertainment - the kids had a lot to do! - rather spacious room. Overall it was much below expectations. This was not worth 1000€ for a night. And having in mind how many things were not ok during the stay I met the hotel manager to have a chat about it. I got two plush toys for the kids and a bottle of sparkling wine to wipe my tears away. No. I know much better hotels for much better prices. Price/quality ratio 1/10. Sorry we are not coming back.

We spent two weeks in Diadora with our children 12 and 2. After reading some negative reviews on Tripadvisor I was a bit worried about our holidays. We met many families…most of them were happy, some complained about the weather (too hot), some complained about the noise coming from the soft inddor play area (this is next to the bar) and they cannot enjoy their coffee in peace. It is difficult to please everyone. Summary: better activities for kids than Forte Village, variety of activities for different age groups, beautifully renovated resort, Falky land and their staff.

Nice and beautiful place for family holiday. Great kids areas, animation and kids classes. Food was good, great choice of served food, clean and nice served. But some of guest get sick after some food, hard to say what was it. Maybe the problem is that people doesn’t wash the hands and touch everything, no hands desinfaction. The worst place in the hotel is the Front Desk - they make very bad first impression in the contact with the clients. They don’t welcome the guest as it should be in the 5* hotel, no welcome drink, no information regarding the hotel, restaurants etc. Just documents, room key and bye. And don’t ask for nothing. They should go and learn from the others Falkensteiner hotels like f.ex in Lido di Jesolo The front desk in Diadora we rate only on 1*. They don’t resolve the clients issues as it should be. We saw some argues between guest and front desk . Something unusual . We also had the problem with them. We booked the room with the sea view and we have received the room with the street view, and bee nest on the balcony. No mini bar in the room, no water. No balcony furniture, no info how to call the front desk or other hotel dept . We asked to change the room, as we have payed for the better standard with the view and we have obtained another once again with no view, no mini bar, no bottle of the water in. The change of the room was made after hard conversation with the front desk girl. Next day we asked once again to change the room for the exact one that we have booked and the answear was no, and the girl from the Front desk said to us that it was exactly the room that we booked, so again hard conversation and after few minutes when we said that we will write to head office of Falkensteiner Hotels she found a room for us. Again no mini bar, no water, no exact number of towels, - which we found very bad quality. Some of them are dirty, and they left some towels materiał fibres on the body. Or they haven’t took the water from the body. For one week which we spent in Diadora hotel we haven’t got the soap in shower cabine also no soap to wash the hands in the bathroom sink. We ask for that and we haven’t received, the same with amenities. Spa toilet one of the worst in the hotel, dirty and smell of the urine. The girl who worked in the spa on the front desk had the problem to communicate in English, but also she couldn’t explain the body treatments - very unhelpful. Excellent kids area and animation, and very nice people who worked there. Kids came back very happy. Great place for kids and very good level of entertainment. The Fortis club great place for the family- kids are very happy with the gaming area. Great service there.
