Another great stay at L'Auberge for our annual sojourn to Cape Breton. We always stay in one of the upstairs rooms at the Inn - lovely view of the harbour, big rooms, tidy, clean and suits us fine. Keep things in perspective - Arichat is a small island community so don't expect 5 star city type hotels - L'Auberge is... More

We booked this place to attend the funeral of a family member. As soon as we entered the motel we were received by a musty odour which stayed with us in our room. The hallway to the room was not lit and had to find the room with the assistance of my I-phone flashlight. Nearly stumbled over a vacuum that... More

The rooms in the main building are very spacious, with very nice interior and ocean-view. Everything is old, but tidy and romantic. The breakfast is excellent, dinner as well. If on Isle Madame, we would allways chose this place again.

Arrived late and there aren't many places to eat so they kept the kitchen open at 8:45 pm and cooked for us. Had breakfast the next morning and it was good also. We stayed at the Inn part and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

We were recommended this hotel/motel to stay while attending a wedding in Arichat. The bride and groom had made block reservations for out of town guess. At first glance the place did not look like any pictures we had seen on the www.tripadvisor.ca and, even worse than the ones posted on www.cbisland.com those pictures must have been 20 years old... After driving the day from St. John via the Flower Pots we weren't interested in staying at some chain hotel. This place was a little out of the way. It offered comfortable rooms and also had a restaurant on site. The food exceeded out expectations and the receptionist/server had a great sense of humor. We were so glad that we... More

Room 203 suits us fine - large and view to the Harbour. We have stayed many times at this inn on our annual visit to Nova Scotia - friendly, welcoming and a great place to stay while exploring beautiful Isle Madame. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming as Cape Bretoners are - and given this is off the beaten... More

Isle Madame is a very unique and friendly little Acadian Island, and my stay at this quaint little inn more than met my needs... The bed was comfy - service excellent, and friendly - and the bonus - a nice quiet get-away to relax and explore a beautiful island that is in my opinion - a "hidden gem"... just a... More

Very unpleasant staying at this inn. Nothing redeeming about this depressing place. Booked a room here for a wedding based on the fact that other wedding people would be staying here and on the advice of the bride and groom. Not sure if they actually researched it or not but it was pretty bad from the get go. When I... More
